Built on the track of the old Témiscouata railway that joined Rivière-du-Loup and Edmundston in New Brunswick, this 134 km of fine gravel path passes through Témiscouata and follows the shoreline of its largest lake. Part urban, part rural, the cycle path is dotted with inns, camping sites and tourist attractions.

Located in the natural region of the Notre-Dame Mountains, the park covers 175 km2 and embraces the largest and most majestic lake of the region, Lake Témiscouata. This territory has remarkable natural assets and a wealth of archaeological remains. There are hiking trails, a cycle path, nautical equipment for rent, discovery activities, archaeological activities, camping and ready-to-camp Huttopia tents.

A four season holiday resort located on the shores of Lake Pohénégamook and right in the middle of a deer yard. Many water activi-ties (rabaska, sailing boats, catamaran, etc.) and land activities (climbing, archery, hiking, geocaching, etc.) are available. There is a wide variety of accommodations, a health spa and a Nordic spa on the lake shore.

With nearly one kilometer of fine sand, Pohénégamook Beach is not only the most beautiful freshwater beach in the Lower Saint Lawrence, but is also listed in the Top 10 best beaches of Québec. Many water activities (Zone Wipe Challenge, etc.). Various activities take place during summer, including the famous Beach Party. There is a modern reception pavilion with food services and a great terrace.

The “Jardin de la Petite École” is considered to be one of the most beautiful private gardens in Québec. Its owner, Jacques Cyr, is a horticul-tural enthusiast who has spent the last 35 years transforming his garden into a true work of art. With an area of 3,000 square meters, there are water gardens, an impressive collection of plants, slate paths, rest areas and a breathtaking view of Lake Témiscouata.

The observatory is equipped with a 410 mm (16 inch) telescope and a solar telescope. Enthusiastic guides and interactive audioguides are available to show you round the exhibition “Stars – Here We Come!” where you learn about the history of astronomy, the solar system, the vastness of the universe, the exploration of space and the evolution of life on earth.

This is the only remaining station on the ‘‘Route des Frontières’’ (route 289) that has been completely restored. It includes a railway museum and an exhibition about the history of Rivière-Bleue, which tells, among other things, the story of the Bootlegging times. There is also an Internet cafe and Le Riverain craft shop. Next to the Old Railway Station is the Petite Gare Aubut which tells the story of the Témiscouata railways.

The 18 hole golf course “Vallée du Témiscouata” in Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha! is one of the most beautiful in the Lower Saint Lawrence. It poses a unique challenge due to its narrow fairways, small valleys and numerous water hazards. The Transcontinental Golf Club in Pohénégamook has a 9 hole golf course with splendid views of Lake Pohénégamook.

All season family resort with a restaurant, a bar and a variety of accommodations - camping, yurts and cottages. Activities, which vary according to the season, include a giant zipline, electric go-karts, miniature boats, swimming pool, fishing in a stocked lake, snowshoeing, inner tube sliding, outdoor skating and ice fishing.

As well as showing the history of maple production in Quebec in their economuseum, this family business has created four alcoholic beverages, two of which have won national awards. Gourmet and traditional maple products are available (maple jelly and butter, chocolates, etc.). Guided visits to the maple installation and wine cellars include a tasting of the various produce, which you can buy in their boutique.

Artisan cheese producer with over thirty types of cheese (hard, semi-soft, soft and fresh) made from cow, goat and /or sheep’s milk. Some of the cheeses have won several international awards. Local produce for sale in their boutique.

The Route des Monts Notre-Dame (Route 232 and 295), inaugurated in 2016, is also an official Québec tourist route marked with blue road signs. This 163 km route starts from Sainte-Luce on the Saint Lawrence River, crosses the highlands of Neigette and all the eastern sector of Témiscouata, and finishes in Dégelis. It takes you through the picturesque villages of Lac-des-Aigles, Biencourt, Saint-Michel-du-Squatec, Lejeune, Auclair and Saint-Juste-du-Lac and has many beautiful views. Water sports and outdoor activity enthusiasts can enjoy Lake Témiscouata National Park which is located in this area.

The Route des Frontières (Route 289) is one of Quebec’s official tourist routes marked with blue road signs. You can join it near the Saint Lawrence River at Saint-André and Saint-Alexandre in the county of Kamouraska. It then follows the border with Maine and New Brunswick, through the villages of Pohénégamook, Rivière-Bleue, Saint-Marc-du-Lac-Long and Saint-Jean-de-

la-Lande. 95 km of pleasure and a complete change of scenery. You can take advantage of being in the area and visit Saint-Athanase, Saint-Elzéar-de-Témiscouata and Packington at the same time.

The Fort is a reconstruction of a British forti-fication that was built in 1839 during a border dispute between the United States and Canada. Discover its history and see the numerous artifacts that have been found here in archaeological digs. Dressed in the military uniforms and civilian dress of that time, the guides recreate life as it was in this fort.
