Bluetooth

Toshibas unique Bluetooth PC Card and SPANworks software package provides complete out-of-the-box remote connectivity for spontaneous networking and enhanced productivity.

In the past, going mobile meant you had

to contend with cables linking notebooks,

PDAs, printers and other peripherals. But not

any more.

Developed in association with other industry

leaders, Toshibas revolutionary Bluetooth

technology opens up a whole new world

of remote connectivity, enabling notebook

PCs, mobile phones, organisers and other

devices to talk to each other without the

need for wires.

Bluetooth technology redefines short-

distance communication with the aid of a

tiny radio module using the worldwide freely

accessible 2.4 gigahertz short wave (ISM)

band. This module allows you to dispense

with cables and line-of-sight connectivity.

So with the Toshiba Bluetooth PC Card you

can share files with other users and within

the near future the same technloology will

enable you to link into shared devices, such

Tecra 8100 Docking Solution

The NetDock Port Replicator is the basis of the modular

docking system for the Tecra 8100. Used in conjunction

with the Expansion Station it offers fast and easy desktop

connectivity. A host of ports and interfaces allow

seamless connection to your office peripherals.

The CardDock is an all in one alternative to the modular

docking system and is ideal for users who require a

comprehensive range of expansion features but not

integrated LAN connectivity. Features include one PC

Card slot, serial, parallel and PS/2 ports that guarantee

optimum expansion capabilities and peripheral

connectivity.
