Hydroxystearate


Greases for very high temperatures (VHT) or Ultra High Temperatures (UHT) can be used in service at continuous temperatures ≥200°C and can withstand peaks of 300°C. These conditions require special chemistries, very different from traditional mineral greases.

The high temperature greases show remarkable lubricity under these extreme conditions. They guarantee performance over a long lifetime as well as protection of the mechanisms.

This range of greases providing resistance to very strong pressures, impacts, and limiting conditions for lubrication. These greases contain large quantities of extreme pressure (EP) additives and/or dry lubricants

Traditional greases cannot operate effectively at high speeds. With speed, assemblies warm up and standard grease can be ejected, nally resulting in breakage of the equipment.

High-speed greases are formulated with special thickeners and oils allowing them to approach the functionality of oil while keeping the sealing properties required in this type of mechanism. One of the parameters to take into account is the speed factor: NDm of the bearing to be lubricated.

One of the rst functions of grease is to participate effectively in the sealing of the system. Lubricating greases are very often in contact with water, in various forms: vapours, emulsions, rain or more generally jets under pressure or baths for cooling installations. They are not generally soluble in water, but prolonged contact can lead fatally to deterioration in their performance.

It offers water-repellent, hydrophobic greases able to preserve their characteristics even in the presence of high percentages of water. By preventing the water from penetrating bearings, these water-resistant greases protect not only against corrosion but also ensure lubrication without deterioration.

Provide adequate protection against rust and resist water washout. Stay in place in heavily loaded conditions. Excellent pumpability. Where lubrication is essentially provided by centralized lubrication system and enclosed gear boxes.

This grease capable of withstand more loads and resist wear and galling of gear teeth. High tackiness ensure the lm strength and moisture resist. Contains adequate solid lubricant. Suitable for heavy loads and moisture exposed enclosed gears, heavy loaded transmission systems and slow moving open gears.

The lubrication of plant in the cement industry offers some quite unique challenges.

Admittedly there are numerous items of plant that are commonly found in many other

industries, gearboxes and bearings for example, of which there are many and diverse types.

Lubrication in an integrated steel plant is a major challenge with numerous types of lubricants

and various types of equipment. The steel plant equipment work under various operating

parameters; like from extreme heavy load to very high speed, low temperatures to high

temperatures, dusty polluted environment to humid acid environment. Therefore proper

The sugar industry subsumes the production, processing and marketing of sugars (mostly saccharose and fructose). Globally, most sugar is extracted from sugar cane (~80 % predominantly in the tropics) and sugar beet.

TORQ - lubricants are specially developed to meet the requirements of heavily loaded mill roll bearings in sugar mills. TORQ - oils are formulated with high viscosity lubricating oil base stocks and fortied with selected non-toxic mild EP and special compounding agents.
