    Topics of the Congress

Due to its geographical position and its central location to the regions of Europe, the Balkans, the Aegean, the Black Sea, the Caucaus-Khazar Basin, Central Asia, the East Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East, Turkey is a transit country in the field of energy. Turkey's position of being an energy corridor for transporting energy resources from the Middle East and Khazar regions to Europe is critical to the emergence of new opportunities

Turkey is in a strategic location between a number of major energy consumers and suppliers, and so serves as a regional energy hub.

According to a new report, Turkey is expected to invest US$25.2bn over the next 10 years in smart grid infrastructure. Turkey is reported to be the largest markets, with other countries committing to significant smart grid investment up until 2025.
