Consumers are people who buy or use any product. They buy food and other things

Passage B:

Who are consumers? Consumers are people who buy or use any product. This means you

and I are consumers. We buy food, clothing, books and other things. Consumerism is a term

which means that consumers are actively involved in making sure that they receive good

products and at reasonable prices.

Practice 1

Identify the topic sentences in each paragraph. Write TS1 next to the topic sentence. Decide

the order of the supporting/additional sentences and number them 2, 3, 4 and so on.

printed and is made using dye and wax.

Melanau tall house and a Chinese farm house. Natives dressed in traditional

costumes show the way of life of their respective ethnic groups.

Many do not have a love for reading. They are either too busy making money or are

People simply do not realise the importance of reading. Thus, there are many people

today who do know very little besides what they are trained for.
