Merlion Park
The Merlion, a mythical creature with a lions head and a fishs body, is anational icon. Installed on 15 September 1972, the eight-metre tall
Merlion sculpture, situated at the mouth of the Singapore River, is a
favourite among photographers and visitors. Legend has it that Sang Nila
Utama, the Palembang king who discovered the island of Temasek, first
caught sight of a lion on the island. So amazed was he at its grace and
strength that he renamed the island Singapura, or Lion City

Asian Civilisations Museum
Beautifully set up, it is well worth a visit. Spanning over 14,000 square
meters, the museum houses 10 thematic galleries filled with over 1,600

Night Safari
