The Buchanan County Board of Su-pervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021 with Clayton Ohrt, Don Shonka and Gary Gissel.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.Motion by Shonka second by Gissel

to approve the minutes of the May 3, 2021 meeting as presented. All in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Shonka second by Gissel to approve the clams filed with County Auditor for $1,028,066.84. All in favor motion carried.

Motion by Shonka second Gissel to approve monthly reports filed with the County Auditor Jail for $14,139.13; Sheriff’s Department for $3,026.22, Sheriff’s Weapons Permits $3,050.00 and Recorder’s Office for $16,707.22.

Motion Shonka second by Gissel to place on file manure management up-date for Gissel Farms LTD Washington Township, Section 18; K & K Farms, Buffalo Township, Section 21; Roepke Site, Madison Township, Section 5. All in favor motion carried.

Motion by Shonka second Gissel to set Public Hearing for Budget Amend-ment on May 24, 2021 at 9:15 a.m. All in favor motion carried.

Discussion was held regarding putting in place a board for redistricting of elec-tion precincts.

Discussion was held with the Board of Supervisors and County Attorney regarding the ambulance service. No action taken until further information can be obtained.

Met with County Engineer Brian Keierleber to discuss the draft ease-ments for the watershed project on 290th Street. Motion by Gissel second by Shonka to approve the easement agreements with Ralph Weber Jr. and Alvera Weber with the corrections and authorize the chair to sign.
