Bog Oak

A series of pieces featuring this ancient timber, recovered from the surrounding farmland of Norfolk and Lincolnshire. The Bog Oak is approximately 3000 years old and has remained preserved deep in the silt, slowly rising again to the surface until it becomes a nuisance to farmers and it is hauled out.

Having survived intact for so long it decays quickly if left in the open. Each piece is unique and colours range from jet black to amber.

The Bog Oak is wax finished and mounted on polished concrete cones with stainless steel fittings. Approximate dimensions

A discussion with a motoring friend resulted in this new chair.

Based on the famous RECARO car seat, unrivalled for ergonomics and comfort over long periods, it seemed a logical step to bring this into the home. The sinuous seat frame, made from laminated Beech witha face veneer of fumed Oak, brings style with practicality and converts the primary function of the car seat into a classic piece of domestic furniture.
