When you share your gift to the Catholic Appeal, you support 18 programs and ministries that help to bring about the Kingdom of God in very tangible ways. Your gifts to the Catholic Appeal make a difference and ensure that the programs and ministries

of our Church in Maine remain vibrant and strong.

Please begin to prayerfully consider your gift to the Catholic Appeal and give generously. Together we can bring the joys of God’s mercy, life and salvation to all through the wonderful programs and ministries of

our Catholic Church in Maine.

We are fortunate to have seminarian Than Pham with us here at Parish of the Holy Eucharist for the next month. Than is from Vietnam and arrived here from Ho Chi Minh City 4 months ago to study at St, John’s Seminary in Massachusetts. Because of the Communist Regime in Vietnam he was

unable to enter the priesthood there so will be studying in the United States and will become one of our Diocesan priests here in Maine. He is now learning English, and will begin his study of philosophy and theology next year.

Than comes from a large family with 8 brothers and sisters, one of his sisters is nun in Connecticut. He has a degree in psychology and was working in that field before entering the seminary. We are grateful to have him here with us, so please welcome him to our parish family.

A Prayer for Families God of joy and

love, You gave us the gift of family. Open our minds and hearts, so we may see our own family as a gift from you. Help us to make our family a place where your love and joy are found.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Contemplate and Share Pope Francis reminds us that there is

‘no stereotype of the ideal family but, rather, a mosaic made up of many different realities, with all the joys, hopes and problems.’ Share some of the joys, hopes and challenges that make up the mosaic of your family.
