About the Program This 164-hour class is taught in a hybrid format, incorporating face-to-face & online learning.

Program to Include Anatomy & medical terminology

Principles of medical billing

Understanding health insurance

Fundamentals of medical coding

Most up-to-date information on CPT, ICD-10, & HCPCS coding

Evaluation & management review

Expertise in reviewing & assigning correct procedure & diagnosis codes

Preparation for the AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam*

*Due to the level of expertise required of medical coders, AAPC expects certified coders to be able to perform not only in an exam setting but also in the real world. In addition to passing the certification exam, coders will also be required to demonstrate on-the-job coding experience. Those who pass the CPC exam but have not yet met this requirement will be designated as an Apprentice (CPC-A) on their certificate. Medical Billing & Coding August 7 — November 27 Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6—9pm No class November 22

CPC Exam Saturday, December 1 at 7:30 am

Cost: $2,995 Cost includes textbooks, workbooks, study guide, AAPC 1st year student membership & Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam.
