FROM STONE HALL

The Perkingston campus was a regular Disney Land East with each dorm strlv1ng to out do the other with their decoration. The activities of the afternoon began with registration, handled by the Student Council, of all visitors on campus. From 2 to 3 PM an open house was held; then, the students and visitors gathered in the auditorium for a welcomtng program. During the course of the program the football team was introduced and the Perkingston Campus Choir provided entertainment along with the band. After the Homecoming Queens and their court were presented L.he entire assembly retired to the tennis court where a barbecue was held. The enthusiasm reached a climax when d1e Bulldogs defeated Southwest 22 to 7. Students celebrated the victory at the Homecoming dance, concluding the festivities.

The Student Government, composed of rep1·esentatives from the classes of each school, is designed to promote a good relationship between students and faculty, and the organizations on each campus. The government governs all campus activities and regulates dances and other such events for the supreme e njoyment of the students on all three

college campuses. Other than planning enjoyment for

dte students, the government encourages ideals to better the scholarship of its members and students; it settles disputes; solves teacher- student problems; and provides rules for the students to follow.
