A- SPECIFIC CONDITIONS

I. Consfruction Phase:

1. Adequate drirking water and sanitary facilities should be provided forconstruction workers at the site. The safe disposal of wastewater andsolid wastes generated during the construction phase should be ensured.Provision shall be made for the housing of construction labourers withinthe site with all necessary infrastructures. The housing may be in the{orm of temporary strucfures to be removed after the completion of theproject. The facilities shali include the crEche.

16. Vehicles hired for bringing con-struction materia-l to the site should be ingood condition and should conJorm to the applicabie air and noiseernission standarcis and shou-ld be operated onJy during non-peak hours.

17. Ambieni noise leveis should conform to the residentia-l standards bothduring day and night. Incremental pollution ioads on the a:nbien-t ajrand noise quality should be closely monitored during constructionphase. Adequate measures to reduce air and noise pol-lution duringcorstruction keeping in mind CPCB norms on noise limits.

18. Fly ash should be used as building material in the construcfion as per theprovisions of Fly Ash Notificafion of September 7999 and amended as onAugust 2003.

19. Ready rnixed concrete must be used in bujlding consfruction.20. Storm water control and its re-use as per CGWB and BIS standards for

27. Opaque wall should meet prescriptive requirement as per EnergvConservation Building Code, 2007 which is proposed to be mandatoryfor all air conditioned spaces rn,hile it is optional for non-air conditionedspaces by use of appropriate thermal insulation material to ful{ilrequirement.

28. The Proponent shall obtain the construction materiai such as stones andjelly etc. on-iy from the approved quarries and other constructionmaierial shall also be procured from the authorized agencies/traders.

29.The proponent shal-i obtai.n approval from the competent authorities forsfructural sa-fety of the buiiding due to earthquake, adequacy offirefighting equipment etc. as per the National Building Code (NBC)including protection measures for lightening etc.

30. The project authority sha-ll ensure that no water bodies are polluted dueio projeci activities.

31. Safety standards as per Nationai Building Code (NBC), 2005 shouid befollowed and ensured.

32. The project Authorities shall ensure that the National Buiiding Code,2005 is complied with and adhered to.

33. The project authorities shali not use Kharab land if any, f.or any purposeand keep available to the general public duly displaying a board aspublic property. No structure of any kind be put up in the Kharab landarid shall be afforested and maintained as green belt only.

34. The authorities should include the condition while issuing plots to theprospective individua-l induslries that they should develop greenbelt ofat least 33 % of the plot area.

35. The indusfrial units in the industrial area and the associated facilitiesshall be strictly in accordance with the norms iaid down by theKarnataka State Government and KSPCB/CPCB.

36. The project authorities shall strictly adhere to the comrnitments madewith regard to establishment of STP/CETP, buffer zone, green belt,conditions'to be incorporated in the iease document while allotting plotsto individual industries, environment safety aspects etc.

37. The project Authorities shaLl ensure the time specification prescribed bythe Honourable High Court of Karnataka in 14IP. No. 1958/2011, (LB -RES - PIL) on 04.12.2072 for different activities involved in consfruction

40. The nafural sloping pattern of the project site shall remain unaltered andthe natural hydrology of the area be maintained as it is to ensure naturalflcw of storm v;ater.

41. Lakes and oiher water bodies within and,f or at the vicinity of the projectarea sha_ll be protected and conserv-ed.

42. The project Authority will undertake all relevant measures, as indicatedduring the Public Hearing for improving the Socio-econcnric conditionsof the suriounding area.

43. The project Authority sha-]l earmarked 2.98 Acres of land for scjid nrastemanagement within the project area as committed.

II. Operation Phase.

Energy conservation measures like instaLlation of CFLs /TFLs for theiighting the areas outside the building should be integral part o{ theproject design and should be in place before project comrnissioning. UseCFLs and TFLs should be properly colJected and disposed off/sent forrecy-cling as per the prevailing guidelines/ rules tr tr,. regulatoryauthority to avoid mercury contamination. Use of solar paneis may bedone to the extent possible.

13. Adequate measures should be taken to prevent odour problem fromsolid waste processing plant and STP/ETP.

14. The building should have adequate distance between them to allowmovement of fresh air and passage of natural light, air and ventilation.

15. The project authorities shall strictly comply with the rules andregulations under Manufacfure, Storage and Import of HazardousChemicals Rules, 7989 as arnended in October L994 and January 2000. alitransportation of Hazardous Chemica-ls shail be as per the MVA, 1,989.Authorizationfrorn the KSPCB shall be obtained for collectiory treatment, storage, anddisposal of hazardous wastes.
