STUDENT COUNCIL IS HAVING  

A Freezie Pop Sale!  

 

Pre-orders will be taken during lunch on May 7, 8 & 9 for grades 1st-4th 

and in classrooms for 5K.  

Freezie pops are 25 cents per pop. (Limit 1 freezie pop per student.)  Freezie pops cannot be purchased after May 9th.   The classroom teacher to choose the date that the freezie pops will be distributed. If your child does not purchase a freezie pop please feel free to send an alternative snack for your child.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Dr. Nikolaou will be grilling out for the teachers on Thursday, May 9th. We need

help with sides! Please sign up HERE to help us out. Please have food at school

by 10:00am on Thursday. If you need to make arrangements for a different drop

off time please email the PTO at [email protected]

It’s almost here!  

It’s Fun Run week at Janssen School!    

The first Janssen Fun Run will be held Friday, May 10th throughout the school day. Parents, you are able to come cheer your children on by volunteering 

during their run time. Please follow the link on the Facebook page under tickets to signup via signup genius or this link. Check below for their run times (the run 

will be around the soccer field behind the school):   

8:45 - 9:15 – 4th grade 9:25-9:55 – 3rd grade 

10:05-10:35 – 2nd grade 10:45-11:15 – 1st grade 

11:25-11:45 – 5K    

Unfortunately the Fun Run t-shirts will be replaced by race bibs which will be dispensed on Friday. We will mark off each lap completed directly on the bib 

during the run with a coordinating star sticker. Kids can run, walk or skip around the course to complete laps! 

  Also make sure to bring a water bottle (labeled with your name) with you on 

Friday for the run!!!   

Keep getting those pledges and we’re looking forward to another fantastic event!

Mapleview Intermediate School

Incoming 5th Grade & New Student Orientation May 14, 2019

5:00–5:50 pm: Band Orientation; Gym (Band Students Only)

Parents and students have the opportunity to learn about our band program.

6:00–6:30 pm: Incoming Student Orientation; Gym (All)

A brief overview of Mapleview Intermediate School is provided and instructional staff are introduced.

6:30–7:00 pm: Self-Guided Tour and Information Stations (Optional)

Students and their families are invited to visit a number of areas within the school to learn more about what the intermediate school has to offer. Mapleview Intermediate Student Ambassadors and staff are located throughout the building to answer questions. Stations are designed to allow families a chance to informally stop by and learn more about particular areas of interest.

INFORMATION STATIONS:

INTRAMURAL & CO-CURRICULAR OFFERINGS; Commons Learn more about the intramural and co-curricular offerings at Mapleview Intermediate. Staff and several students will be on hand to answer questions about various activities. INTERNATIONAL TRIP; WORLD STUDIES ROOM, 197
