&O.... In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of the section 11 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Central Government, after consulting the Medical Council of India, hereby makes the following further amendments in the First Schedule to the said Act, namely:-

In the said Schedule -

I) against "Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur/Kerala", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2)], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as

column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Magistrar Chirurgiae (Urology)"

"Master of Surgery (General Surgery)"

"Doctor of Medicine (Anesthesialogy)"

M.Ch (Urology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur/Kerala in respect of students being trained at TL. Medical College, Alappuzha on or after 2015).

MS (General Surgery) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur/Kerala in respect of students being trained at Jublilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute, Kerala on or after 2016).

MD (Anesthesialogy) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur/Kerala in respect of students being trained at Academy of Medical Sciences, Pariyaram, Kannur on or after 2015).

against "Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2)1 after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to

as column (3)1, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Anesthesia)

DM (Nephrology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai on or after 2016).

MD (Anesthesia) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Latur on or after 2014).

against "Punjab University, Chandigarh", under the heading 'Recognized Medical

Qualification [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)],

the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine)" MD (General Medicine) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Punjab University, Chandigarh in respect of students being trained at Government Medical College, Chandigarh on or after 2017).

against "Ch. Charan Singh University", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)],

the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Pediatrics)" MD (Pediatrics) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Ch. Charan Singh University in respect of students being trained at Muzaffarnagar Medical College, Muzaffarnagar on or after 2016).

against "Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

against "Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration'

against "The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and

MD/MS (OBG) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Theni Government Medical College, Theni on or after 2016).

against "Sharda University, Greater Noida", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)],

the following shall be inserted, namely:-

MS (Anatomy) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Sharda University, Greater Noida in respect of students being trained at School of Medical Sciences & Research, Greater Noida on or after 2016).

against "LN Mithila University/Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

University, Kanpur", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

Garhwal University, Uttarakhand", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Master of Surgery (General Surgery)" MS (General Surgery) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by H.N.B. Garhwal University, Uttarakhand in respect of students being trained at Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dehradun on or after 2016).

XIII) against "Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore", under the heading

Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) j, after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Physiology)" MD (Physiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in respect of students being trained at Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hassan on or after 2017).

Note.

The recognition so granted shall be for a maximum period of' 5 years from the date of notification, upon which it shall have to be renewed. The procedure for 'Renewal' of recognition shall be same as applicable for the award for recognition.

Failure to seek timely renewal of recognition as required shall invariably result in stoppage of admissions to the concerned Postgraduate Courses.
