1. Video Assignments

1.1. Create a new video assignment template Courses tab Assignment and Project Template Builder side menu Create in the side menu This brings to four step wizard.

Select “Video”

Enter a name for the template

You can enter instructions in the box. **IMPORTANT:

Select “Public”

Click “Save” to save the template.

Click “Next” to proceed to step 2.

Click “Next” to proceed to step 3.

To select rubric for this assignment tool, click the radio button in front of it.

Click on the title to get the detailed view of the assessment tool.

Click “Next” to proceed to step 4.

**IMPORTANT: Select “Yes”

Finally, click “Save.” However, if you don’t want to save the template, click Cancel link next to it.

**Just because an assignment template has been created does not mean that your students can upload their work yet. The assignment must be sent to them as a pending task. Please refer Section 1.3: Send a video assignment to do so.

1.2. How to use video assignment template that was created by someone else on TK20?

Go to: Courses tab Click Templates underneath the Libraries side-menu

Then, click “Copy to My Template”

Select “Video” from the dropdown menu.

The file icon in front of the template indicates that the template is available to use.

The icon in front of the template indicates that you have created the template. So you already have access to it.

Select the template by clicking the click mark in front of it.

1.3. Send a video assignment Courses tab Assignment side menu Send in the side menu This brings to four step wizard.

1.3.1. Step 1: Select course

Click Next button to proceed to step 2.

The courses you teach will be listed over here. Place a checkmark next to the course and click “Next” button at the end of the page.

You can click Edit link to modify the list of students who would receive this assignment.

Select the template by clicking the radio button in front of it.

Click “Next”

Click “Next”

You can modify assessor by clicking the “add new” button or “remove” button.

Enter the assignment details on the form and click “Send”.

1.4. Assess a video assignment

Click on the pending tasks.

Alternatively, Go to: Courses tab Coursework section Assignments

Click on the name of the student to assess the student’s assignment.

You will now see a split screen.

The left side of the screen consists of student’s video submission.

The right side of the screen contains your assessment instruments.

You may provide annotations for each criterion in the rubric.

Provide score for each criterion in the rubric by clicking the appropriate radio button.

You can provide annotations using Speech bubble, note bubble or spotlight bubble. Click + sign to create an annotation.

Annotations appear on videos like this. The student can play the video on their TK20 account now and see your annotations.

Enter a “Start time” and an “End time” for the annotation. This will be the section of the video that the student can play and see this annotation.

You can delete annotations by clicking the trash icon.

Enter comments for the annotation.

Click “Submit” when you’re done.

You can cancel any time during the assessment process.

You can save your work and come back later to make changes.
