In the year 1981,Dr. R. Thangappan, B.Sc. (Tech)

Chem. Engg., Ph.D., MIE., MIIChE,

FSAEST, identified corrosion as amajor threat to the chemical in-dustry. Though new materialswere being developed worldwideevery day, very little attention wasbeing paid to fabricate equip-ments using exotic metals, due tothe complexity involved. Thechallenge of changing this hasbeen the launch pad for

TITANIUM TANTALUM PRODUCTS LTD.

His invention of ‘ACTIVATED TITANIUM METAL ANODES’ was the start to his mis-sion, “To be the company of choice to customer of value in providing Solutionto Corrosion, by Engineering Excellence in Exotic Metals Since 1981.”

Today, TiTaN stands as a reliable partner to all its clients in providing solutionsto almost all their corrosion problems. It has developed its in-house capabilitiesto handle all Exotic metal fabrication needs with its sound engineeringpractices and modern infrastructure and facilities.

Through its continuous Research & Development programs, TiTaN hassuccessfully introduces various processes and services includingelectrochlorination system design, manufacturing and commissioning to theindustry.

With many equipments, projects designed, engineered and executedsuccessfully, many more under manufacture and with major enquiries for simi-lar, new projects from world over, TiTaN today is one of the leading fabricators ofexotic metals in India.

With its reputation for reliability and quality, the company’s growth hassustained this sense of achievement and provided a direction for challengesin future.
