TIS in the Headlines Atal Tinkering Laboratories – Innovation Challenge, 2016
NITI Aayog, Government of India, has selected the school for establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories in
the school premises. ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity,
creativity and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mind-set, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. Several schools from all over India were invited to showcase and present innovative solutions for any two
challenges being faced by the neighbourhood community. Mehul Chabri, Shruti Katoch and Vishesh Gulla of Class XI of the school, assisted by their teachers Ms. Shikha Shah, Ms. Lipi Goswami, Ms. Amita Gulla,
Ms. Kanika Reiki and Ms. Jayalakshmi proposed the models for ‘Bio-Bin’ and ‘We Care Rickshaws’. The models were greatly appreciated by the judges. Out of the 257 schools that made it to the final list the school is one among the 29 schools selected from Delhi/NCR to establish Atal Tinkering Laboratories.
Ambassador of peace
International Festival of Language and Culture is one of the largest and most prominent organisations for
promoting world languages, cultures and peace. The Principal was felicitated by IFLC for being an ambassador of peace.
‘Principal of the Day’ Ms. Nandita Sahu – Principal, Tagore International School - East of Kailash was declared ‘PRINCIPAL OF
THE DAY’ on September 6, 2016, by the website, ‘It’s a Matter of Principals.com’. The website brought together prominent and experienced school educationalists with leadership acumen from across the globe on
a single platform. Ms. Sahu’s leadership, vision and innovative approach were appreciated in the citation.
Regional Level CBSE Science Exhibition 2016 – 17
The Regional Level CBSE Science Exhibition 2016-17 was conducted
by CBSE from 22.12.16 to 22.12.16 at DPS, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
This year the main theme was ‘Science, Technology and Mathematics
in Nation Building’ and there were six subthemes under this. Over 90
schools from Delhi and NCR region participated in this with around
150 exhibits. A panel of eminent judges appointed by CBSE assessed
the exhibits for two days. In first round they shortlisted 36 exhibits and

finally selected 20 exhibits for the National Level. The exhibit from our school ‘ECO – WRAP’ (economical
and ecofriendly) electrical wire insulation under the sub theme ‘Industry’ was one of the 20 exhibits and has
been selected for the National Level CBSE Science Exhibition. This exhibit was prepared by Siaa Girotra
and Siddharth Ranjan Kar of Class XI C , under the guidance of their Physics teacher Ms Lipi Goswami.
Helpage India- Helping the Aged Citizens On Friday, 17 th February, 2017 Help Age, India conducted their award ceremony for the competition ‘When I will be 64’ at C-14 Qutab Institutional Area. Tagore International School, East of Kailash received an award for generating awareness among the younger generations for helping the aged citizens of the
country gracefully and actively.
Searching in Space
Two class VIII students, Shripat Nepak and Anshuman Bunga participated in the All India Asteroid Search Campaign, organized by Space Technology and Education Pvt. Ltd. The two students
successfully made one preliminary discovery of an asteroid, which will now get recognized with ‘Asteroid Grand Challenge Digital Badging’.
The students will also be felicitated after the completion of their campaign, later in the year at SPACE Annual Meet. In a special assembly held in the school on August 4, 2016, the two students were
awarded mementoes by Mr. Pankaj Bhamba, Director, Space Technology and Education Pvt. Ltd. Principal, Nandita Sahu in her
address encouraged students to take up such challenges and congratulated the School Astronomy Club for inculcating a spirit of discovery among students.

to Mozambique and France respectively.
TIS Welcomes IFLC Delegates The student delegates of the Int’l Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) Organization and their teachers
from Georgia, Kyrgystan and Papua New Guinea visited Tagore International School, East of Kailash on 4 May 2016.
The student delegation is a part of a larger group of 17 countries whose students also participated in a grand
musical show on 7 May 2016 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. These students visited the School for the
day and enthralled the audience with songs and dances from their countries. The school had also put up a short cultural program for the visitors. There was a follow up with an art workshop for the visitors on various Indian Art forms.
TIS at IFLC Extravaganza
International Festival of Language and Culture is one of the largest and most prominent organisations for
promoting world languages and cultures. In partnership with them, students from the school participated in
an international musical extravaganza, hosted by the Educational Endowment Trust, Turkey on, May 7, 2016, at the Talkatora auditorium. The program was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and United Nations Information Center (UNIC).The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Najma Heptulla, ex- Union
Minister of Minority Affairs. TIS was a part of the inaugural choreography based on the theme, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbkum’- The World is one Family.

Celebrating Montenegro Day
In a novel initiative, the school collaborated with the Consulate of Montenegro in New Delhi to celebrate their National Day on July 13, 2016, in the school premises. The gala event of fun and festivities involved
the entire school community, senior personnel of the Diplomatic Corps in New Delhi, high level, functionaries from the government and students of schools of NCR.
The dignitaries for the event included H.E. Dr. Janice Darbari, the Consul General of Montenegro in
India, Shri Subrata Bhattacharjee, Joint Secretary, Eastern Europe , MEA and Shri Navin Verma, Joint
Secretary, Ministry of N.E. Affair. The event was graced by the Ambassadors and High Commissioners
from Mexico, Bolivia, Bhutan, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Congo, Malawi, Zambia, Eritrea, the UNDP Resident Representative in India and other Senior Diplomats representing more than 25 countries. An inter- school art competition was organized for the day with Indo-Montenegro Friendship as the theme.
A contingent from the Morarji Desai Institute of Yoga under the aegis of the Ministry of Ayush performed a yoga display in the school.The Principal hoped that this unique manner of bringing people of different
countries together amidst young children could ideate a way forward for unity and peace amongst all.
Kyrgyzstan Students’ Visit
On September 9, 2016, the school hosted a delegation
of students from Kyrgyzstan who were on a visit to
India on the occasion of the 25th National Day celebration of their country. The dance troupe which
performed here comprised of 17 teenaged dancers who are members of their nationally acclaimed cultural centre, Aiziya Noor.The youngsters
showcased some of their traditional dance forms for an enthralled school audience. They also left
handwritten messages of peace on the ‘Peace Tree’ of the school in view of the World Peace Day celebations. Principal Ma’am, thanked the Deputy Chief of Mission, Ms. Fatima Sushanlo, of the
Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, who was instrumental in facilitating this visit. The senior diplomat
expressed her appreciation at the new ties of friendship being formed between the students of the two countries.

Generation Global Delegates Visit
Delegates from the Generation Global, Tony Blair Faith Foundation visited the school on September 23, 2016. Dr. Ian Jamison, Head of Education & Training, Mr. Matthew Lawrence, Director of
Programmes at the Tony Blair Faith Foundation and Ms. Sandhya Gupta, Education Consultant for the Tony Blair Faith Foundation in New Delhi, India, were the guests. An interactive session between the guests
and the students was organised. The students shared their experience of being a part of the program. Dr. Ian Jamison, in his speech emphasised that direct interaction with students in other countries reinforces the civic values learned in the classroom.
As a part of the Generation Global initiative, a special assembly was also conducted to celebrate the
International Day of Peace. Students designated a special 'Peace Tree' in the school campus where they strung up their peace messages and took a pledge to dedicate themselves to maintaining peace and harmony in the world.
Tagorean Elegy to the Holocaust
The International Holocaust Remembrance Day was observed on 13 January, 2017 at Alliance Francaise
Auditorium, New Delhi in association with UNIC and the Embassies of Israel, Germany, Austria,
France, Greece and Poland. The rendition of the Ballad of Mauthausen in Greek by Aroma Mathews of Class VIII was deeply appreciated by the audience of senior diplomats and Principals of various schools. It was an effort to awaken the need for peace and harmony amongst all.

Art Festival at TIS TAGFEST
(Inter School Art Festival) The school hosted TAGFEST 2016 – an Inter- School Art and Drama Festival for the students of Classes
IX-XII on August 23-24 ,2016. Students from 22 schools participated in the festival. The art events of TAGART on Day 1 included Pen and Ink Zentangle Art, Clay Modeling, Charcoal Portrait, Rangoli, Water
Colour Painting, Mehendi Designing, Canvas Painting, Photo Montage and Animation. Mr. Rajiv Lochan, Director (retd.), National Gallery of Modern Art was the Chief Guest for the occasion.
TAGACT on Day 2 had the students perform soliloquies, mime shows, denouement of famous plays,
Sanskrit dance dramas, social street plays and ad-acts. The creative extravaganza concluded with a
valedictory ceremony, graced by the special guests, visiting students and the Principal of the school.

School Highlights
BOOK WEEK
The school organized the Annual Book Week in the school from May 2-7, 2016, to celebrate the joy of
reading. The week commenced with the inauguration of the Book Fair by the Principal, that was organized by Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd. Inter-class activities and workshops were organized during the week to foster creativity among students. The events in the book week included Best out of Waste, Fancy Dress
Competition,
Poetry Recitation, Story Telling and Meet the Author Session, Crown Making, Creative Writing
Competition, Flip Book Activity, Movie Screening and Magic Show. An interactive session with the well-
renowned author Ms. Deepa Agrawal was organized for the students. Students showcased their talent by designing beautiful covers for the annual school magazine. The Book Week concluded with an Open House on the final day when parents were invited to see the creativity of children through the projects on
display and the theme- based bulletin boards.
SCIENCE WEEK
Science Week was celebrated in the school from July 18-23, 2016, with the aim to inculcate scientific
temperament, critical thinking and innovation amongst students. The theme of the Science Week, in its first edition was ‘Panchatatva – the five elements’. The element in focus was 'Water'. A special assembly was
conducted on July 20, 2016, which showcased the five elements through a dance performance. The school band performed on the theme 'Fusion Beats – the Science of Sound'. Students from classes I to XII,
participated enthusiastically in the various activities conducted during the week, which were designed keeping in mind the content theme of element ‘Water’. The activities were divided under three categories, namely – ‘Young Minds at Work’ which were classroom activities, ‘Water Crusaders’ which involved inter
class competitions and ‘Reaching Out’ which comprised of outdoor activities. Throughout the week experts from the National Science Centre, demonstrated a number of experiments for the students. The Science
students from class XII had the opportunity to observe the demonstration of experiments on liquid nitrogen by Mr. Vinay Shukla from the National Science Centre . The week culminated with the display of student exhibits, prepared by the students, of Classes VI to XII on July 23, 2016.The Principal, visited the
classrooms, and shared her valuable inputs regarding the projects with the students.

MATHS WEEK
The school observed 'Maths Week' from August 8-12, 2016.The Principal in her address stressed upon the vital importance of the subject in academia and career opportunities. The entire week was devoted to tasks
and activities within the domain of Mathematics. Inter-disciplinary events included debates, poster making, quiz, puzzle solving, mental math exercises, skits and mime shows among others. Activities such as
Tessellation, Maths Online, Quiz, Jewellery Making, Sudoku and Pyramid Making kept the students engaged. A Vedic Maths Seminar was conducted by Mr. Hafiz from Impact Hyderabad Group. The week concluded with an exhibition in the school where students showcased their projects, models and posters.
TAGMUN
The School organised a 2-day Model United Nations Conference, TAGMUN-2016 in the school on July
26-27, 2016. The event provided students a platform to learn about diplomacy and international relations.
Dr. Nirmal Kumar, Associate Professor of History, Sri Venkateshwara College, University of Delhi,
was the Chief Guest at the inauguration ceremony. In his address to the students, he inspired them to believe in the power of negotiation. Dr. Manindra Nath Thakur, Associate Professor, Centre for Political
Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru.

INTERGENERATIONAL YOGA PRESENTATION An Intergenerational Yoga Workshop was held on April 23, 2016. It was organized by the Times Foundation and Intergenerativity Group to actively engage the two most important generations of our society- the ‘Elderly’ and ‘Children’. 40 students of our school (from classes VI-VIII), 35 parents and
nearly 30 grandparents participated in the workshop. The yoga session was conducted by Swami
Vidyanandji- Yoga expert and Founder, Yoga Association of India. Guests from Times Foundation and
Helpage India also participated in the workshop which aimed at strengthening intergenerational bonding.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The Student Council of 2016-17 was sworn in at a formal investiture ceremony on May 10, 2016.The entire
school voted online through Google forms, and the community witnessed a simulated general election process as the students filed their nominations and went through a formal interview process. After a day of
canvassing, the process finally culminated in the casting of an independent and confidential ballot. The Principal administered the oath of office to the large student council of 48 members from classes XI and XII
and urged them to perform their duties conscientiously.
LEADERSHIP CAMP OF STUDENT COUNCIL
The school organised a Leadership Camp for all the Student Council members on July 2, 2016. The aim of
the camp was to help students develop some key soft skills such as trust building, communication, team work, collaborative learning, confidence building, leadership skills, decision making, problem solving and personal responsibility.

CITATION CEREMONY
The school felicitated the class of 2017, in a solemn and formal Ceremony organized on Saturday, 28th January
2017.Dr.Alok Bhattacharya, (School of Life Sciences) of JawaharLal Nehru University, was the chief guest for the
occasion and Dr. Suman Sharma, Principal, Lady Shriram College, was the esteemed guest for the day. The ceremony commenced with the citations for each graduating student
which were read out by their respective class teachers. The Chief Guest, Dr. Bhattacharya, exhorted the students to
choose the path of discovery and innovation in life.

encouraged the youth to be less disconnected in their emotional bonds and to distance themselves with obsessiveness of products and gadgetry. The Presidents
of the student council, Abhinav Verma and Tanya Kataria, also gave their farewell speeches paying tribute to the school and reminiscing about their educational journeys in their Alma Mater.
BID ADIEU-FAREWELL CEREMONY
Students of Class XI bid adieu to their seniors
in a farewell ceremony held on 28 January,
2016. A special cultural programme was organised by the students of Class XI for their seniors. Foot tapping dances and songs,
interspersed with a pageant show were the attractions of the evening. The Class XII boys
looked dapper in their formal suits while the girls dressed in sarees turned out as elegant ladies. In a jovial atmosphere the Class XI
students competed with each other for coveted titles. The students enjoyed jiving on the dance
floor and later relished sumptuous food.
YOUTH PARLIAMENT – ‘MIMANSA” 2016 ‘Mimansa”, the Youth Parliament was conducted at Tagore International School, East of Kailash for
students of classes VI to XII. This was second year that the
Youth Parliament had been organized in school. The Chief Guest
was Prof. Aparajita Dey, Professor of Geography, Delhi School
of Economics.She inaugurated the session by lighting the
ceremonial lamp. Our esteemed Chief Guest was welcomed
warmly by the Principal Ms. Nandita Sahu who presented her
with the auspicious Tulsi plant and a traditional shawl. Professor
Dey declared the session open. The session commenced with the
arrival of the Speaker Abhishek Taneja of Class XII-B and the
oath was taken by the leaders of the respective political parties. The session began with the Question Hour
followed by the Zero Hour and the time was utilized for raising issues of national importance.

GRANDPARENTS DAY
Grandparents bestow upon their grandchildren, the strength and wisdom that they have gleaned from their lifetime’s experiences. Together they
create a chain of love linking the past and the future. Grandparents Day provides an opportune platform to create the spirit of togetherness. Tagore
International School, East Of Kailash, celebrated Grandparents day on the 16th,20th and 21st October,2015 with great enthusiasm and fervor. On Day One,The tiny tots put up a scintillating performance through a plethora of
events. The chief guest declared the meet open. Innovative fun races like ‘Let’s Be The Host’,’String the Beads’,Hip Hip Hurray, Yum Yum Yummy
and Puzzle Mania left the doting audience captivated. The excitement of grandparents had no bounds when they watched their little ones race across the field. Dressed in colourful attire, the children danced with much gusto
and energy. To channelize the youthful exuberance and energy of students
constructively.
JUNIOR ATHLETIC MEET
The programme commenced with the ‘Torch run’ which was followed by the ‘March Past’. The majestic parade comprising of four squads from various
outdoor activities marched in discipline and dedication. The Principal Mrs Nandita Sahu in her address underlined the role of sports in improving fitness
and developing life skills of the students.The students presented an exposition of a variety of ‘yogasanas’ that help one in remaining robust and strong. A scintillating performance showcasing various intricate formations using hoops
was presented by the children of Display Brigade. The students displayed combat and self-defence techniques through exercises in ‘Taekwondo’ which
focus on building confidence and developing discipline through training of body and mind.
SENIOR ATHLETIC MEET
Sports and athletics have been an integral part of Tagore International School
for years. Keeping up the tradition, this year too, the school organised its
Senior Sports Meet with the same flamboyant spirit, November 26, 2016. The event was initiated by hoisting of the National Flag followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The athletic events for the day commenced with track
races followed by relays for students of classes VI to XII. The support staff of the school also participated in the athletic events. The main attraction of the
day was the Tug of War between the students of Class XI and XII where the Class XI was declared winners. Principal, Nandita Sahu encouraged the students to increase their participation in sports and asserted how it acts as a
vehicle to inculcate the spirit of achievement. The event came to a close with the winners being awarded with medals amidst loud cheers.

SPICMACAY- A LECTURE DEMONSTRATION
BY USTAADRAHMAT KHAN LANGA
SPICMACAY, in its effort to preserve and promote Indian cultural music and spread awareness among children about the rich musical traditions of India, introduced Rahmat Khan Langa to the children of the
school on 29 November, 2016.
The renowned exponent of Rajasthani folk music, was accompanied in the lecture demonstration by the
musical doyen Mr. Jaramuddin on Sarangi, Mr. Govind Poddar on the Tabla, Mr. Mohammad Rafiq on
Khadtaal, Mr. Yar Mohammed and Mr. Habib Khan, Mr. Anwar Khan, Master Yaseen Khan and Mr. Aslam Khan as vocal supporters. Various folk tales from Rajasthan that influenced their music were elucidated by the team members. The first segment saw the rendition of Shankar Vandana - a conversation
between Krishna and Shiva. Students were engaged in a folk song 'Haanji Re Baani’ which also features in the 'Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao’ Campaign. The session kept the young audience engrossed in the
experience. Principal, Nandita Sahu inspired the students to respect art forms such as music and dance and stressed upon the role performing arts play in the refinement of aesthetics.
Winter Carnival -KERMIS The school held its winter carnival, ‘KERMIS’ on December 17, 2016. The fun-filled extravaganza
included joyrides and a large variety of games stalls, which attracted a footfall of more than eight thousand
visitors through the day. Children and adults alike enjoyed playing games and sampling arrays of mouth-
watering delicacies at the food stalls. The JAM session and the Devil’s Den drew in a large crowd. The
Raffle draw for students, which was declared in the evening, was the highlight for students and parents. The
Principal appreciated the endeavours of the staff and students of the school in making the carnival a
resounding success. She also thanked the parent community for their cooperation and expressed her
gratitude to the management for their encouragement in organizing the mega event.

NSS -PROGRAMMES
Big Buddy Programme
Students of class X A participated in the ‘BIG BUDDY PROGRAMME’ as a part of their NSS
activity. In this programme the students of class X A mentored the juniors from classes 1 , 2 and 3 in the subject areas of English, Mathematics and Hindi.
The programme aims at promoting interpersonal skills and communication skills. The students will
also learn the values of caring and sharing, punctuality, politeness, friendliness and disciplined behavior.
The mentors prepared worksheets to reinforce the concepts taken up in the class in all the three
subjects mentioned above. Recapitulation of previously taught concepts is done before giving them the worksheets.
The programme is a great learning experience for both the mentors and the mentees.
Partnership with Noida Deaf Society
The students of class IX-A are aware that there are huge challenges facing the Deaf community. There are approximately 12 million Deaf in India with
80% of them having no access to formal education. There is a lack of right pedagogy and teaching
resources which are especially customized to the needs of the Deaf in India. So, they are learning Indian Sign Language from the deaf teachers of
Noida Deaf Society in order to help the deaf become contributive partners of society. This will contribute
to a pool of Deaf trainers.
Face To Faith
The NSS activity for the students of class XC& IX
B is Face to Faith, now Generation Global, a programme under Tony Blair Foundation. In this, the students hold video conference with schools of
different countries and exchange their ideas on various topics. The aim of the programme is to build
up the religious literacy of those who are taking part, as well as foster respect and mutual understanding between students of different cultures
and religions. It enables students to learn from and about each other, by giving them the opportunity to
have discussions across national and religious boundaries using videoconferencing

technology. The programme also provides students with the ability to talk to their peers around the world about
issues of global importance, and learn about the diversity of ways that different cultures and religions around the
world empower people to find solutions. The students share their views on various social & current issues by writing their blogs, commenting on others blogs etc on
line.
Project Search
The students of class X B have taken up the topic “Project Search” as a part of their NSS Activity under
CCE as per the guidelines of CBSE. The aim is to help the students to create awareness regarding environment conservation that will ensure the sustainability of the planet in the years to come.
Street Play- Awareness about Substance Abuse
Substance abuse, also known as drug abuse, is a patterned use of a drug in which the user consumes the
substance in amounts or with methods which are harmful to themselves or others, and is a form of substance-related disorder. The students of class IX C took up the topic to spread awareness amongst the various sections of the society. They made posters and wrote articles on the topic. Dr Vipul Sud from an
NGO ‘Core Cancer Foundation’ enlightened students about the deadly disease cancer caused by tobacco through a workshop. Students prepared a rolling board to make other students aware of the harmful effects
of substance abuse. Some surveys were conducted for the same. Students also prepared a facebook page and an anti-tobacco committee was formed in the school.

12 / 04 / 2016 - Five students of Class XI participated in the EarthKAM workshop at Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18, Dwarka. It was a unique opportunity for students to
control a digital camera on board the International Space Station.

for the students of classes X- XII and briefed them about a two week university certificate programme by Amity University.
08/07/2016 - Students of Class VI C along with their Class teacher
Ms. Snehlata Chaudhary participated in the exhibition and creative workshops held at Alliance Francais.
12/08/2016- CBSE Avishkar Quiz was held for Classes I to V. The top scorers were selected for level two, to be held later.
02/08/2016-A career guidance session was conducted by SI-UK Education Council for classes XI and
XII by Mr. Nitesh Punhani (Assistant Manager-Events & Marketing, SI-UK Education Council. The session was quite useful for the students as it provided information on the admission procedure,
eligibility criteria, scholarship schemes, courses offered at undergraduate levels, internship opportunities, writing personal statement, etc. in detail. Information on some of the finest universities and colleges in the UK was also shared.
03/08/2016- A career guidance session was conducted by Mr.Kumar Pranay (Sales Head- School Product, Career
Launcher) for classes XI and XII. The speaker shared some interesting facts related to admissions and career growth.
04/08/2016- A workshop, titled, ‘Web Rangers’ was organized in ASN Senior Secondary School. Akshita
Chugh and Sahil Dhandha of X-C participated in the workshop. Ms.Uma Balan, the resource person informed the students regarding various facets of online child safety
norms.
04/08/2016-Shripat Nepak and Anshuman Bunga of Class VII participated in the All India Asteroid
Search Campaign. These students successfully made a preliminary discovery of an asteroid, which will now get recognized with ‘Asteroid Grand Challenge Digital Badging’. In a special assembly held in the school on August 4, 2016, the two students were awarded mementoes by Mr. Pankaj Bhamba, Director,
Space Technology and Education Pvt. Ltd. They will also be felicitated after the completion of their campaign, later in the year at SPACE Annual Meet.
16/08/2016-A career guidance session was conducted by Mr. Gaurav Kwatra and Ms. Preeti Srivastav of the Pearl Academy for classes XI and XII. The queries of the students related to courses and the admission procedure were also addressed.
16/08/2016 –Eco Club students of classes VI-VIII participated in a Tree Plantation Drive. They planted a tree with the school name at the Jahanpanah city forest.
Local MLA, Mr.Saurabh Shukla presided over the event.
17/08/2016- Mr. Dharmendra Singh and Mr. Vipul Chaturvedi from Cummins India conducted a workshop
titled, ‘Coach Them Young’ for students of classes VI-

21/10/2016- A career guidance session was conducted by Ashoka University for classes XI and XII
(Commerce and Humanities stream). Ms. Kanchi Khanna, Director Outreach, shared information on the various courses available, admission procedure and life
on the campus.
21/10/2016- The Canadian University Application Centre conducted a career guidance session for classes
XI and XII. The representatives from Saint Mary’s University provided a glimpse into the various study
options about the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and shared information regarding scholarships, admission procedure, eligibility criteria, internship and
accommodation facilities available to students.
24/11/2016- The workshop was conducted by Prof. Ms. Ishita Batra and Counsellor Ms. Ronika was
attended by students of XII B. The institute is affiliated to University of London.
16/01/2017- Proctor & Gamble had organized a programme, “Adolescents Workshop” on girls hygiene in the school premises on 16 January 2016. Ms Malina, the resource person spoke to class VI and VII girl
students about coping up with the changes they go through during the period and accepting the right hygiene practices.
23/02/2017- The students of class VIII students participated in the workshop on solid waste management organized by the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) an independent Non-Government
organization. The resource persons, Mr. Mohit
Sharma and Ms. Komal Verma, conducted the workshop.
17/02/2017-The students of class X attended a workshop, Destination Moon & Planets , on February 17, 2016. In this workshop, the students
learnt about our nearest celestial neighbour- LUNA (moon) and solar system planets visible from the

30/04/2016 - Principal, Nandita Sahu and Headmistress, Ritu Kaushal attended the Annual Conference organized by the Forum of Public Schools. Prominent speakers spoke eloquently on how to imbibe skill
based education, role of innovation and technology and empathy in the classroom setting. The conference laid special emphasis on the need to instill value education in schools.
14/05/2016 - A workshop was conducted on 'Stress and Behavioral Management' for teachers. It was an interactive session where the resource person, Ms. Javinder
Kaur talked about the amount of stress everyone faces in their daily lives. The session included effective' stress-
releasing exercises where the teachers were very actively involved.
15/05/2016- Aworkshop on 'ClassroomTransaction' was
conducted by Mrs. Neera Chopra for the school teachers. In a 3 hour interactive session, Mrs. Chopra updated the teachers about various strategies and methods of making
classroom teaching more effective and interesting.
16/05/2016-Aworkshop on 'Children with ASD' was conducted by Ms. Indu Chaswal for the school teachers. Ms. Chaswal enlisted various symptoms which
could help teachers to identify a child with ASD. She also emphasized upon the needs of an accommodating and child- friendly environment in order to put these children in the main stream.

eminent author, Prof. V. Wason, conducted the workshop. Accounting of ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan), Conversion of Debenture and
Debenture Redemption Reserve (DRR) were discussed.

13/08/2016- Ms. Ginni Gandhi and Ms. Sumita Pal attended a Master Teacher's Training Programme (AWIM 2016) at Mapple Emerald, Gurgaon. The teachers along with the Engineering
students received training in developing a Skimmer: its fabrication, presentation and testing.
16/08/2016-Ms. Ritika Narang, a certified Google Trainer conducted a workshop on Google Apps for teachers.
19/09/2016- Ms. Garima Bhardwaj attended ‘Times NIE Annual Teachers Coordinators
Meet’ at Kidzania, an edutainment theme park. The theme for the event was- 'Learning through fun'. It was
an interesting session where teachers got the opportunity to interact with other teachers from Delhi NCR and exchange ideas with each other.
