Comfort Orders revisions on Feb 18
Rationale: Review of Comfort Orders to align current orders with best practices
Key Points:
Addition of one optional and one default nursing order
Addition of one optional medication instruction
Addition of one optional Tylenol order
Addition of two optional Benadryl orders
Revision of four optional Phenergan comments
Addition of two optional Ativan orders
Print Prescription revision on Jan 27
Summary of the Change: Verbiage to print a prescription has changed. Former
verbiage was “Resend”. Term is more intuitive to action the provider wants to
take.
Key Points:
1. To print a prescription, select “Print Rx.”

Quick Search for Problems and Diagnosis beginning on Jan 27
Summary of the Change: Quick Search feature now available for Problems and Diagnosis.
Key Points:
1. Clinicians can type in the Quick Search window and the problems and diagnosis terms begin to display.
2. Select the term from the list. (Chest was typed and the terms with “chest” display.

3. The Quick Search looks for terms using IMO (Intelligent Medical Objects) which helps to make the
clinical terms easier to find. When the problem or diagnosis has been selected and added to the
patients’ chart, the module converts the term to ICD‐9 (Diagnosis) or SNO MED CT (Problems).
4. Providers can still search for Problems and Diagnosis using the if they prefer.

The Nursing Orders section was modified:

A continuous Infusions section was added
The medication section was modified:
Fentanyl 200mcg and 400mcg IV Push options were removed
Tylenol, Motrin, Toradol and Zofran medication doses were added
Slight modifications were made to the Laboratory section:
Beta Hcg Quant Blood, Beta Hcg Qual Urine and Urine Dip were removed
Cardiac Enzymes and Drug Screens were added
The Blood Gas section was changed to be full panels
A Respiratory section was added
Slight modifications were made to the Radiology section:
XR Cystography was added
CT Abdomen/Pelvis w/Contrast and CT Abdomen/Pelvis w/o Contrast were added

Rationale: To align with Best Practice.
Summary of Change:
Slight modifications were made to the Vital Signs and Nursing Orders section
The Medication section was up dated:
Morphine 10 mg IV Push was replaced with Morphine 2mg as an option
Fentanyl 200mg IV Push option was removed
More Zofran and Protonix dose choices were added
A protocol section was added:
