View Report

• Use the “View Report” from the file menu.

• View the last generated version of a report.

• View older versions once in Report Library.

One column contains the total of the last 12 months and each month dynamically updates with the correct data

Forecast report

Restrict printing of columns based on report period.

Great for building budget + actuals to calculate a forecasted year-end report


Calculate Average onto report

Use PERIODS in your formula.

Ability to divide an amount in a column by the number of periods, based on the report date (for example: average sales for past 3 months).

If report is run for period 2, it would be divided by 2, if run for period 12, the total would be divided by 12.

Correctly Calculate variance onto reportGet the variance % sign correctly when the variance is a positive but the budget is negative.

Assign security in the tree definition to restrict user access when viewing reports.

Organization - Folders

• Right click – New Folder

• Name folder

• Drag reports into new folder.

• Specify the location through the Output and Distribution Tab in the Report Definition.

• Hint: Consider creating a drafts folder for draft versions of reports

• Select “MR Report” to create or edit a report in Report Designer.
