Introduction to the programme and overview of Entrepreneurship and Employability Discussion around YOUTHPASS and skills for employment Lunch, informal networking, Learn to blog, continue to work and plan for possible applications 14.00 – ‘The Apprentice styled’ Team activity task 1: Choosing a name and Branding strategy VISIBILITY Work with a professional brand company to learn about Brand identity development , Logo design, Packaging design, Brochure design , Flyer design, Marketing speech and literature 18.00 - ‘The Apprentice’ styled CREATIVITY & MARKETING team task ; Pizza Express – create an International Pizza. Design the box, marketing strapline and make the pizza, then promote in on the streets of Muswell Hill for a public vote. Presentation by young people who have created successful innovative Youth Initiatives projects. Day 2 09.00 - Introduction to Youth in Action & presentation of resources of use to the young entrepreneur. Introduction to Youth Initiatives and meet young people who have been successful in applying for previous YI projects Introduction to the Youth Initiatives application form 11.00 – Participants to participate in working groups to 14.00 – Team activity 2 tasks ‘The Apprentice’ styled; DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION team task Design, Build, Test and Race a go-kart against the other team. Judged on style, design, strength and speed by a member of the motortrade 20.00 – Evening of entertainment as agreed with participants Day 3 9.00 – Team activity Task 3 ‘The Apprentice’ styled team task – THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX relating to the groups Youth Initiatives application plans 14.00 - Team activity 2 tasks Dragons Den pitch (hopefully at The British Council) Each group will present their idea of a potential Youth Initiative application to a group of Dragons (which we hope will include business men/woman and Youth in Action personnel) who will give their view on whether such an idea has the potential for funding, through Youth in Action or the world of real business 20.00 - Visibility and Celebration event - Opportunity to celebrate the achievements & present Learner Certificates Dinner and closure of the workshop Team results and prize giving presentation Day 4 09.00 – Create YOUTHPASS certificates Opportunity to share future plans of participants and introduce them to other international learning opportunities. 14.00 – Evaluation followed by learner departure
