Named after Italy’s most passionate cycling supporters, Tifosi was established in the year 2000 by leading UK distributor Chicken CycleKit. They wanted to bring to the UK market a range of bikes built with only the best European frames and components.

These attracted considerable attention, as they were much lighter than many of the UK-produced bikes of the time. A host of positive reviews followed over the next few years as the Tifosi range was expanded and further developed.

Tifosi is now an established brand, well known for its reliability, specification and value. The range is primarily designed for use on British roads, taking its design inspiration from cycling’s spiritual home, Italy.

The success continues. Tifosi regularly receives outstanding reviews as you will see when you browse the range. Loved by the cycling press from its inception, Tifosi’s flagship road bike the Scalare was recently rated “9/10” by Cycling Weekly (July 2015).

The entire range is assembled to the highest standards in Europe, as Tifosi continues to support key European manufacturers with whom it has worked in close partnership for many years. A powerful and comfortable frame is created by the use of dynamic tube shaping.

This unique concept creates a solid bottom section to the frame maximising power transfer. This is then combined with more slender upper sections to the frame, which optimises the frame’s capacity to absorb vibration from the road.

An oversize bottom bracket and stiff central section of the frame provides high lateral rigidity, ensuring highly efficient energy transfer from pedalling.

A Press Fit PF30/PF86 bottom bracket reduces weight and resists axle twisting.

POWER TRANSFER POINT

The 142mm x 12mm Thru-axle used on our disc brake models is 35% stiffer than the classic open drop out equivalent.

These stiffer axles equate to highly efficient energy transfer, directly from the pedals into the forward motion of the wheels, giving the rider precise control.

THRU-AXLE

Tifosi’s alloy frames are constructed from double butted TFX ULTRA ALUMINIUM, which has been carefully selected for its strength and lightness.

This produces frames that give a robust and reliable ride, sharing some of the benefits of their more expensive carbon counterparts.

Tifosi utilises high-tension chromoly tubing to construct its steel model. The steel is lightweight and strong with a traditional round profile.

CHROMOLY STEEL

Carbon Tifosi bikes are constructed from premium modulus carbon fibre, commonly found on some of the most expensive bikes on the market. This type of carbon was specially selected to give the optimum balance between stiffness, strength, weight, durability and comfort. Its properties are most important in high-strain, and strength-critical areas of the frame such as the seat stays, top tube, down tube and head tube.

The rear disc brake caliper is mounted on the inside of the robust chain stays, which eliminates unwanted vibrations during heavy braking.

This neat & discreet method of mounting also allows for the seat stays to be designed specifically to allow for better absorption of vibrations from terrain irregularities. The caliper itself also has a smaller profile, allowing for improved aerodynamics.

FLAT MOUNT

Cables and hoses are routed inside the frame. This protects the cables from dirt and extends the life of the cable, while at the same time making gear changes more precise, even under extreme conditions.

This also has the benefit of improving the aesthetics and aerodynamics of the bike.

The frames have been designed with dynamic tube shaping, making them lightweight and aerodynamic without sacrificing riding comfort. Clearance for up to a 35mm tyre adds to their versatility. Innovative profiling of the seat tube allows shortening of the rear triangle of the frame, allowing not only clearance for mudguards, but contributing to excellent handling and fast acceleration. A strong and stiff headtube area guarantees superb control even on roads in the poorest condition.

Tifosi is proud to be sponsoring the British Elite Amateur race team, Spirit Bikes in the forthcoming 2016 season. The team will be riding the new Tifosi SS26 model, which has been in secret testing and development with the riders for a number of months. At the heart of the Tifosi brand is a true passion for the sport of cycling, and it seems only natural for us to provide sponsorship for a grass-roots team, focused on talent development.

The Spirit Bikes Race Team was formed in 2010 to cultivate young local racing talent. The focus has been to identify and develop riders in the Academy and provide a platform for these athletes to take the next step towards the Pro Peloton. The team, based in Aylesbury, Bucks, has grown year on year since its inception- both in terms of size, and achievements.

2015 saw things really stepping up, with the team doubling its roster size in a bid to be competitive throughout the entire season. Standout results from the year include a stage win and overall team classification win in Ireland’s ‘Tour of the North’ Stage Race, plus a podium place in the Tickhill GP. The team have also enjoyed numerous other victories in the past few seasons. The team’s main aims for the 2016 season are to achieve both a high result in the Premier Calendar, as well as a top 10 in the overall Na-tional Team rankings. This would make the team the top ranked fully amateur outfit in 2016. The squad of 12 riders will compete in a mixed calendar to include; Premier calendar, National circuit race series, National A and National B races as well as races in Ireland and Belgium.
