Step 8: Iron Heat –N-Bond to the back of the black piece of felt. You will iron on the paper side of the Heat-N-Bond. Cut the felt into

4 strips that are 1/4 inch x 4 1/2 inches.

Step 9: Remove the paper backing from the strips. Arrange the strips on the front in the center of the bag so that there is a 1 1/2 inch

square in the middle of the grid.

Front of Bag

This should be 1 1/2 inches.

Step 10: Place a piece of fabric or a pressing cloth over the bag and then iron the strips to front of the bag. (See placement in step 9.)

Step 11: Cut five 1 inch circles from two different colors of felt for a total of 10 circles. These will be the game pieces. (I traced a bottle cap.)

Step 12: Insert the circles into the opening of the bag. Close the flap and your tic-tac-toe bag is ready for gift giving or on-the-go fun.

Additional Game Piece Ideas:

Felt X’s and O’s (These could be bonded to the circles.) Squares Triangles Flowers Hearts Buttons (Either sewn on felt or large buttons by themselves.)

Painted Wooden Disks Bottle Caps or Lids

Closure Alternative:

Instead of a Velcro closure, snaps or a button and buttonhole could be used. Tic-Tac-Toe Grid Alternative:

Instead of ironing on felt you could make the grid using a satin stitch, or you could sew on the felt strips or ric-rac strips.

Topstitching Alternative:

A decorative stitch can be used instead of a straight stitch when topstitching the bag.
