Alternative Scene

Objective: SWBAT utilize the knowledge they have compiled throughout their study of The Crucible and analysis of group conformity in order to construct an alternative scene for The Crucible that demonstrates the

character traits of three characters and reveals how group conformity is either rejected or accepted by each of the three characters.

While viewing the skit performances, SWBAT write reflections on the scene their group constructed as well as the scenes constructed by their

peers.

Why are we doing this? 1. This assignment allows you to independently and critically explore and engage the text to demonstrate to the instructor what you have

learned.2. It will give you a deeper understanding of the text and group

conformity.3. It should also be fun!

#3 – Could this scene have been included in The Crucible? Why or why not?
