Calculation :

Rate of travel of bunches,V = 22 x 0.5 m/min = 660 m/hr

Cross sectional area of the material in the thresher,a = (22/7 x 2.6 x 2.6 / 4) x 0.05 = 0.2656 m3

Thresher capacity, T = a x b x V tonnes / hour                                  = 0.2656 x 0.32 x 660                                  = 56 tonnes / hour
