Thousands of veterinarians gathering for love .The 3rd "World Veterinary Day, Run for Love " public events ended successfully.

On April 28, 2018, to celebrate the Eighteenth World Veterinary Day, the Chinese Veterinary Association teamed with Zoetis China to hold the third "World Veterinary Day, Run for Love " in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu. At the main venue , Beijing Olympic Forest Park, Wang Gongmin, Deputy Director of the Department of Veterinary Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Ms. Li Yi, Business Unit Director of Zoetis Enterprise Management attended the opening ceremony and made speeches. Chen Weisheng, Director of the China Animal Disease Control Center initiated the celebration. And Xin Shengpeng , the Secretary-General of the Chinese Veterinary Medical Association hosted the opening ceremony.

The event aims to provide veterinarians with a platform for self-expression and promote public interest and understanding, show love and responsibility. Also set up a public-welfare for “raising money for stray animal sterilization”. A total of 5120 donations were received, the value of the donations and medicines were worth about 180,000 yuan. All donations and medicines were donated to the Beijing Association of Conservation Animals, TA Shanghai, Guangzhou Xixi Forest Cat Care Association, Chengdu Shuangliu Love House Animal Rescue Center for the neutering and rescue of stray animals. The “Top Ten Love Ambassadors” were also selected at local events to recognize outstanding caring people.
