Double layered, tight fitting and insulating thermal blanket

- developed by Danish ambulance menThe special shape is developed for optimal protection of thorax and

head for maximum heat retention. The silver foil facing the patient

retains the body temperature while the multi-layer blanket prevents

heat loss.

FACTS:

“Hypothermia is dangerous. It is often witnessed in near

drowning incidents and with trauma patients ashore. Protec-

tion of head and thorax is extremely important. Heat loss from

the head alone is about 50%. For multi trauma patients the

survival rate drops to 50% if the body temperature is below 34

degrees. With a body temperature below 32 degrees survival

is very rare.”
