25.1. Unauthorised entry in BA 1
• A worker from a contractor company entered the BA1 site with a member of his family on a Saturday morning
• He is identified by the Guards and escorted off-site.
• His hierarchy has been notified

Private Visits are not allowed in areasunder access-control

4.2.: Safety Barrier removed
• A safety barrier blocked PM 56 to prevent access into a cryogenic hazard area
• An unknown, unauthorised person removed the barrier
• Later, an unsuspecting staff member entered the hazard area by PM 56

Statistical Indicators
• Most accident victims are contractor’s personnel, but accidents are 6 times less severe as usual
• The excellent preparation of the works and the thorough training of the workers by the CERN LS-1 teams was worth the effort.
