NINETEENTH SPECIALTY SHOW & SWEEPSTAKESAND THIRD OBEDIENCE TRIAL
This Show is Dedicated in Memory ofOur Dear Friend Sheela Cunningham
FRIDAY JULY 30, 2004
Sheela CunninghamDecember 19, 1947 – July 13, 2004
Sheela got her first basset about 30 years ago.
(She already had 2 bassets when Chuck first met her.)
They recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
Sheela has been president of our club since 1999, having
previously served as the club’s corresponding secretary,
recording secretary and member of the board, as well as
being one of the founding members.
Always an integral part of all Club functions since
becoming president, she was largely responsible for keeping
this club going despite sometimes severe health problems.
Her contributions to the breed as a breeder will long
outlive her in those bassets she produced, and the many
she has now left behind. They are now our legacy from her.
We will miss the sweet, friendly, generous and loving
human being who has touched and enhanced so many
of our lives.
We’ll never forget her.
