Humans started wearing shoes about 40,000 years ago .

Wearing shoes changed the way humans walk and how their bodies distribute weight.

If you wear shoes regularly, as most modern humans do, those changes end up reflected in your bones and ligaments .

Prime example the shape-up shoe by Sketcher.

Ancient man, living in colder climates is credited with making the first shoe.

However Early man, in warmer climates, invented the sandal to protect his feet from sharp rocks He strapped a mat of woven grass, a strip of animal hide, or a slab of flat wood to his feet with "thongs" he cut out of animal hide.

Some even pulled the thongs between the toes and tied them around the ankles to tighten the fit of these crude sandals.

Over the years peoples developed their own take on the shoe.

The Egyptian model of a shoe was different because it suited their needs of a light weight but durable instrument.

The shoe of early man was different because it supported their needs of protection from rocks and pointy objects.

The shoe has majorly been improved since its early discovery.

Today we have boots, high heel shoes , sneakers and sandals.

Different brands have became world wide known. They are all a result of that ugly sandal.

Improvements were made to the shoe because of many reasons.

PEOPLE WANTED MONEY SO THEY BEGAN SELLING THINGS. ALSO FASHION PLAYED AND IMPORTANT ROLE. OVERALL THE MAIN REASON AN IMPROVEMENT WAS PROBABLY MADE BECAUSE OF OVERALL NECESSITY AND SURVIVAL.

If we still had that sandal that early man had we would have diseases left and right.

We wouldn’t be able to work on construction sites or go outside. There’s broken glass and hard rocks everywhere. Sure animal hide is tough, but could it protect you from glass, or hard rock sediment?
