The Hickok Times

THIS MONTH… BY: LORREN, NATASHA, KARA, CRAIG, JAMIE, PONCH, & KADEEM

October has to be one of the most festive months of the year here at Hickok. We dedicated an entire group to making Hickok look extra spooky. We have so many fun activities planned this month ranging from pumpkin decorating to our annual Hickok Halloween party and of course our fabulous outings! Natasha has been getting her blood curdling tails ready! We want to take a brief moment to say thank you to one of our members Dan S. for welcoming the Hickok crew to his families historic… Stokoe Farms! Although we may be sad to see the warm weather leave, we are welcoming some of our indoor outings that we missed. Many of us are excited to be returning to Dave and Busters, Schutts Apple Mill, and relaxing at Hickok Center on a cool Fall day with our apple cider social!

As we mentioned, with the welcoming of Fall also comes lots of germs with the weather changing and we would like to continue to encourage hand washing, sanitizer, flu shots, and adding an extra layer of clothing if needed. After a long time waiting for our Hickok store to take place, we are finally happy to share our beloved vending machines which we are all so excited about! Also reviving back up at the Hickok Center is wood working with our new volunteer Eric called “Hickok Tool Time”! Eric has been working extremely hard making improvements around the Hickok Center to make our center look its absolute best and we couldn't be more thankful for him… Thank you, Eric! We can’t wait for your group to start.

Will D’s Movie Review

This movie review is on a movie called “Widows”. It is a good movie about a lady trying to help some women try to get their life back together and help because her husband passed away. I recommend that everyone watch it.

Marc Hind’s Funny Corner:

1.) A snail was mugged by two turtles. He went to the police station to report the crime. “Tell me exactly what happened,” the police man said. I can’t, said the snail. It happened so fast.

2.) What do you get when you drop a letter in the mud? Blackmail.

3.) What’s a centipede? An inchworm that converted to the metric system.

A great shot of Mark playing Checkers!

Chaz Johnson’s “Hell in Cell” Recap:Hell in Cell was great. Becky and Sasha Banks were in the second Hell Cell match and it was amazing. Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks went through a “Hellaous” match tables, chair and steel cage, but Becky Lynch won. Then seemingly never ending rivalry between Lacy Evan and Natalya opened Sunday as the women met on the kickoff show. Natalya won with her submission finisher. Roam Reigns and Daniel Bryan vs Luke Harper and Erick Rowan in tag team match Roman Reigns hit Erick Rowan with the superman punch and then the spear. Bayley vs Charlotte Flair: Flair put figure eight won the title. Seth Rollins vs The Friend: Seth Rollins hit three curb stomps and pedigree and the friend kicked out all of them. Then Seth Rollins grabbed a sledgehammer and hit The Friend in the head with the sledgehammer and got disqualified.
