Bachrach Case Study 7

Bachrach Men’s Clothing The Bachrach engagement was for web/e-commerce strategy design

and development. This strategy included a competitive assessment of

the three top performing men’s clothing websites. Our team developed a

systematic process to evaluate these competitors based on over 150 key

factors grouped into 10 primary categories. Each factor was quantified

on a point scale and indexed to arrive at a valid, measurable metric for

site assessment.

Positive Outcome:Prior to this launch, 97% of sales resided within the brick-and-mortar

catalog business, and Bachrach was hesitant to change its current

strategy. Nine months after launching our solution, the new website for

e-commerce and the online channel accounted for more than 35 percent

of total sales. This growth made Bachrach an attractive option for a

larger retailer who purchased the Bachrach brand.

ExchangeMyMail Case Study 8

Exchange My Mail Exchange My Mail, which provides Microsoft Exchange 2007 hosting,

engaged Bigfish for a complete redesign of its website and SEO

augmentation. The original website did not offer a consistent, intuitive

interface for allowing prospects or customers to quickly and reliably find

what they were looking for. Despite having well-written and informative

content on its website, it did not generate enough traffic via the top

search engines. We redesigned the UI to improve the overall user

experience of the site. Redundancy and inconsistencies in the navigation

structure were replaced with a streamlined, intuitive, consistent

navigation structure. Finally, search engine optimization techniques

were employed including meta-tagging, body copy optimization, and url

planning.

Positive Outcome:CEO of Exchange My Mail, Sal Dipiazza, was very apprehensive about

the transition to the new site. He had been through the process multiple

times before and had always had to endure a period of reduced search

engine rankings/traffic and confusion on the part of his users. This

time was very different. Conversion rates increased, and search engine

rankings not only didn’t suffer but actually improved. In fact, as of the

writing of this, Exchange My Mail enjoys the number one ranking on

Google for the term “Hosted Exchange 2007”, a highly competitive and

highly relevant keyword phrase for its business. It ranks higher than all

of its much larger competitors and higher than Microsoft itself.

Rio Verde Case Study 9

Rio Verde Country Club Rio Verde has a long-standing relationship with our team. We have

developed numerous marketing plans and promotions for various lines

of business at the country club. The scope of our relationship with Rio

Verde has included developing direct and electronic mail campaigns,

developing print collaterals, conducting photo shoots, and promoting

their facilities and services through various public relations campaigns.

Last summer, Rio Verde asked us to develop a recruitment campaign

to increase their membership base. Bigfish implemented an extensive

national marketing campaign which targeted the new high end members

they were seeking.

Positive Outcome:Notably, Rio Verde initially wanted to use billboard advertising in the

markets they were targeting. We explained that it would not be as

effective or as trackable, and it would be cost prohibitive to do so. As a

result of this three-month campaign, Rio Verde saw a 200% increase

in interested potential members. By running the campaign as we

recommended, we were able to track the direct success of this campaign

through our proprietary lead generation tool, CapturM.

Case #517- Lucky Green.

In early March 2003, a Mr. Bob Woodhill hit

off the #9 tee at Pine Meadows in the White

Mountains. Just seconds before, his buddy

had bet him 5 dollars he wouldn’t even hit the

green. Not only did he hit the green, it goes

in the hole. It was the biggest golf shot in Mr.

Woodhill’s life.

THAT SAME EVENING, Mr. Woodhill was walking

by a 5-dollar slot machine in the Hon-Dah

Resort Casino. On a whim, he inserts the same

5-dollar bill his friend had paid him into said

slot machine where, you guessed it, he hits

the jackpot for thousands. An incredulous Mr.

Woodhill was later heard to remark- “This is the

biggest day of my life!”

First, he wins on a green, then he wins some

big green. Coincidence?

In early September 2003, Texas native John

“Buck” Bullard was fishing from shore at Fool

Hollow Lake in the White Mountains when

suddenly, he hooks the biggest largemouth

bass he had ever battled. So big, in fact, that

he was actually yanked into the lake. Bravely,

this Texan held on till he was victorious in

landing the huge fish and swimming for

shore. Mr. Bullard remarked- “I thawt this here

bucketmouth had my number, heh, heh, heh.”

THAT SAME EVENING, while sitting at a Hon-

Dah Casino Texas Hold ‘em poker table, his first

cards dealt turned out to be a royal flush. Once

again- he held tight.

No two ways about it- when this Texan holds

‘em, the result is usually big. Coincidence?

In late July 1995, Carl Weatherly, while walking

through the Apache-Sitgreaves forest near

Pinetop, rounds a corner in the trail – and

found himself face to face with a 9-foot tall

ape-like creature commonly referred to as

Bigfoot. The creature ran away leaving Mr.

Weatherly severely shaken and in need of fresh

pants.

THAT SAME EVENING, a Mrs. Bea Phillips sat

down at a Hon-Dah Casino Blackjack table

where, blissfully unaware of the game’s object,

unwittingly stands on 13- which just so happens

to be her shoe size. Fortunately for Mrs.

Phillips, the dealer busts and she wins big.

Two sets of big feet make a big scene on the

same big day. Coincidence?
