Physical con~ition on arrival: Generally good; hoYever,. many or the folders are quite faded and crumbly; they have been retained as Professor Gage has notations written on them.

Description; Simon H. Gage (]851-1944) was Professor of Histology and Embroyology at Cornell University. This collection seems to be Professor Gage's office files. It contains a gcod de~l of his research data, illustrations, and experiments; it contains many outlines for public and classroom lectures and some material on the students, class exercises, and so forth for a few of the classes taught by Professor Gage; it contains some of the manuscripts and some reprints of Professor Gage's writings; and it contains a good deal of correspondence, mostly routine, vith business firms and a small amount of personal and professional corr~spondence, 1894-19399
