KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: Christ Our Savior Council #4471, 3rd Degree meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month in the Holy Name Room in the Great Hall at 7PM. All members are encouraged to attend.

MOBILITY ON LOAN: the Knights of Columbus’ Mobility on Loan ministry has a nice inventory of wheelchairs, potty chairs, walkers, and crutches available for loan. Items are available for loan at no cost to the parishioners and immediate families of Christ Our Savior Parish and the brother knights and families of Council 4471. The Christ Our Savior Parish Food Pantry at Holy Trinity Church is open from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Mondays for anyone in need of assistance. The food pantry is sponsored by the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Christ Our Savior Parish. To maintain this wonderful new ministry to our parish we need to keep the shelves at the pantry full of non-perishable food items. Please use the donation boxes located in St. Nicholas Church and Holy Trinity Church as you are able to so we can continue to help those less fortunate in our community. The following items are needed for November: Sweet Potatoes, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes / Gravy

First Step for Change: Thanks to all who have participated in the First Step for Change campaign. If you have not already done so, please return your filled baby bottle to St. Nicholas or

Holy Trinity Church. Bottles can also be returned to the Parish Office. The baby bottles are used each year so the more bottles that are returned, the less we have to buy.

COMMUNITY MEAL: Thank you to all the Altar and Rosary Society ladies who volunteered at the October Community Meal. There was an abundance of help and delicious cupcakes donated by our volunteers. We would also like to thank Phyllis Nolfi for her help in preparing the meal. More than 275 dinners were served! Mark your calendars for November’s Community Meal on Tuesday, November 28th.

CCD: 1) We will continue to accept registrations for the 2017-2018 CCD school year for Grades Kindergarten through Grade 8. All families—returning or new—need to turn in a registration form prior to class admittance. FOOD DRIVE: CCD students along with St. Nicholas School students will have a food drive to benefit the Christ Our Savior Parish Food Pantry. Students are asked to bring in non-perishable items each week during the month of November. Items can include canned goods, boxed foods and paper products. Collection boxes are located in the classrooms. CHILDREN’S CHURCH: We will again be offering Our Children’s Church sessions at the Sunday 10:45 a.m. Mass for Children from age 3 to Grade 2. Parent leaders will present the Gospel reading to the children at their understanding level. We are always happy to accept parent volunteers. (Child Protection class and fingerprinting will be required to ensure the safety of our children!) Talk to the parent leader for further information.

BENEFIT WINE TASTE & DINNER The President Charity Foundation of the Knights of Columbus, a 501(c)(3) organization, is sponsoring a benefit wine taste and dinner for Maureen Johnson, a single mother of a 9-year-old son. Maureen was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in May of 2016. This event will take place on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at St Anne’s Ukrainian Catholic Church Social Hall, located at 4310 Kirk Rd. Youngstown, OH 44511. Cost of the event is $30.00 for a single or $50.00 a couple. A few local wineries will be there for tasting along with other wines from wineries along the Lake. Jim Loboy will be the DJ for the evening. Doors open at 6:45 PM, the event runs till 10PM, you can call any of the number s below for reservations. We are also seeking sponsors and donations to help make this a successful event. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. In the past we received promotional items, and gift baskets to be raffled off or we will use item for door prizes throughout the evening. You may also give a monetary donation for this very worthy cause. The President Charity Foundation has raised over $75,000 for individuals and organizations through our wine taste and golf outing. This would not have been possible without the generosity of people within our community. We hope you will consider making a donation, or better yet come out and enjoy the evening. How does a Quarter Auction Work? With your $5.00 admission payment you will receive a numbered bid paddle and a ticket for a chance to win one of the door prizes. These will be given to you the night of the auction along with a list of the various donated items up for bid. The number of quarters required for each bid is based on the value of each item. You could win a $25 item with just a 2 quarter bid! Item values as determined by the vendors will be announced for each item.

BONUS RAFFLES: 50/50, Lottery Tickets and Door Prizes Donations (monetary or new items)

for the auction are welcome!

This is an Adult Only BYOB Event

You may also bring your own snacks to share at your table. Concessions will be available for purchase and the proceeds
