Ministry to the Sick and Shut-Ins
Please call the parish office to arrange for Communion to the Sick and Shut-Ins and for the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Parishioners who are entering the hospital are asked to let the parish office know in
advance if possible.
Sacramental Preparation
Baptism - Parents wishing to have their child baptized at St. Rita or Christ the King should attend a Baptism Class. To make an appointment, please call the Church Office.
Marriage - Couples wishing to be married at either St. Rita or Christ the King must contact the pastor 6 months in advance of the proposed date. Marriage preparation is required by the Diocesan Marriage Preparation Policy. ************************************************ Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and Ministers of Hospitality are always needed for each Mass. If you are interested in serving in one of these ministries, please call the parish office.

God Squad Reflections: Supernatural Resources
The Book of Wisdom of Solomon ends with an inspiring statement of faith: “For every way,
Lord! You magnified and glorified your people; unfailing, you stood by them in every time and
circumstance” (19:22).
Could you say these words? Do you have the kind of faith that is able to see the hand of God at work
through everything that happens?
So many times, we pray for God’s help, especially if we are struggling or someone we love is
suffering. Later, when that particular crisis is over, we quickly forget how God helped us
through. The Bible’s message is that God is at work through all the times in our lives, even in
ways we do not realize in the moment. The church’s word for God’s help is grace. Unlike
most of our natural resources, the supernatural resource of grace is never in danger of being used
up. In fact, the more we use it, the more of it there is!
Find a way of keeping track of how God has helped you through life. Perhaps you can
maintain a journal of the difficult times you've made it through and the people who have
supported you. You might be surprised by this record of how God’s grace has been active.
