If this sounds like you – please consider joining the Catholic Faith Facts Apologetics Course here
at St. Rose of Lima. You will learn how to give Biblical answers for your faith as well as the corresponding references from the Catechism. You will gain a clearer understanding about subjects like the Mass, defending Marian doctrines, the Eucharist, Purgatory, praying to the saints, and many more.
The class will take place at 7:00 pm in Room 13 of the school on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. The first class is on April 25th and will go through the month of May (5/23). We will resume after the summer hiatus.
As the Body of Christ, our Catholic faith is a family journey – so don’t try to walk it alone and uninformed!

May 4th to May 6th will be THE PARISH RETREAT FOR WOMEN held at the Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center in the city of Sierra Madre. The Retreat which is preached by the Passionist retreat team begins Friday Eve and concludes early Sunday afternoon.

We invite all adults interested in becoming Catholic, and Baptized Catholics who need both the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation, to join us on a Journey of Faith in the R.C.I.A. Process. We know many of you come to Mass with your families and are hesitant to take that first step. Our St. Rose of Lima R.C.I.A Team provides a welcoming environment where the Teachings of the Church are presented and your questions answered. We bring you on a Faith Journey with the Catholic Church; its beliefs, traditions, history and worship, and incorporate you into its life with Christ today. Inquiry sessions are open. No adiós sino hasta pronto! Con un corazón muy triste quiero contarles que he renunciado a mi posición como Directora del Ministerio Hispano, hace ya 11 meses que me fui a tener una cirugía de corazón abierto y las cosas no resultaron como se esperaba, me han dado incapacidad de por vida y fue esta la razón por lo que ya no voy a trabajar aquí en la parroquia. Todavía seguiré viniendo y cuando mi salud lo permita estaré ayudando en lo que se pueda, estaré brindando apoyo a todo el que lo
necesite. En todo este tiempo afuera he tenido tiempo para reflexionar, he aprendido hacer más oración y a estar más cerca de mi Jesús discerniendo lo que El quiere para mí de hoy en adelante. Quiero agradecer su apoyo y amistad, siempre estarán en mis oraciones pero ante todo quiero agradecer a Dios por haberme dado la oportunidad de servirles y de conocerlos pues nunca había conocido personas tan especiales, tan caritativas, tan sencillas como las de esta comunidad, para mí todos son mi familia y ya saben la familia siempre esta primero. Un abrazo muy especial para cada uno de ustedes y nos vemos pronto.
