Thank You…Thank You…Thank You… …to all of you who have made our Christmas season truly a time of celebrating God’s greatest gift to humanity – his Beloved Son Jesus Christ. …to all of those who gave their time, talents, and efforts in making our community events during Advent and Christmas something that help each of us realize that this parish is our home. …and to those who came to pray and worship with us especially during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

********** This week Fr. Alex and I will be leading a group of teens and adults from St. Gene-vieve who will be joining the 4 buses from throughout our Diocese that will head to Wash-ington, DC. We will join millions of people converging on the nation’s Capital for the An-nual March for Life in support and prayer for the unborn. We will get on the road in the early morning of January 24 and Fr. Alex and the group will be back on Saturday, January 28. I will stay for another day in DC and will be back on Sunday, January 29. One question you’ll be asking will be whether daily masses will be suspended. The answer is NO. We will have our daily masses as usual. I have asked some of my brother priests in the neighboring parishes to help with this.

********** On Wednesday, February 1st, our 11th grade Confirmation candidates will finally make their final step towards becoming fully confirmed and accomplishing the next level of their Sacrament of Initiation. Through the hands of Bishop Fabre, these young men and women will be empowered by the Holy Spirit in order to help them become stronger and more deeply convicted persons of the faith. Please pray for them as they take these final steps of their preparation for such a wonderful sacrament.

********** For those of you who are unaware, especially those of our daily Mass goers, Fr. Alex and I have teamed up with Christ the Redeemer in offering a Saturday morning Mass more consistently or regularly. These Saturday morning Masses will be celebrated at Christ the Redeemer at 7:30 a.m. Fr. Alex and I will be on rotation to offer these Masses so if you are looking for a Saturday morning Mass, Christ the Redeemer now offers it every Saturday, in addition to the very early one at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral.
