Online RetailerThe internet is a fanatic place to go shopping. You will almost always find the best prices and the highest quality goods. Unfortunately, it also has the flip side too: the worst prices and the lowest quality goods. It’s important that you recognise what to look for when buying products online, and this is especially true with radiators because a faulty one can cause a lot of problems. Below, we are going to look for when buying radiators from an online retailer.

If you have an antivirus programme that evaluates websites, what does it say about a particular website? For example, we have that famous antivirus beginning with ‘N’. When we google the name of the site from the link at the bottom of the page (Designer Radiators Direct), we see a small rectangle with the word OK on it. This means that our antivirus knows this site and that it deems it suitable for browsing – ‘OK’ is the best rating, HSBC, Wikipedia, Facebook, and BBC all have the rating ‘OK’, too.

Do they have any endorsements and recognition? For example, they might have endorsements from certain types of business specialists, such as their local networking group. Look for things that mark them out as trusted and reputable. This could mean visiting their Facebook page or twitter account, to see how other people rate their service. This is an extremely good litmus test for company satisfaction from its customers.

Do beware that you might be reading fake reviews if you choose to visit a site such as Trust Pilot. Those reviews are often muddied by rivals trying to damage the competition and by themselves trying to boost their reputation. It’s much better to go to an organic site, like Facebook, where you're more likely to encounter actual customers. You still have to be wary, just not as much.

Is the business competitive? They might have all the credentials, buy when buying radiators online, you should also be looking for a bargain. If they’re overpricing their radiators, then you might as well look for another business, because you will find them. A reputable and trusted company is highly likely to also offer you the best prices – this is how they stay in business much of the time. Businesses that aren’t competitive – whatever the field – generally start to fail; except where organic price fixing has occurred, in this case, they’re all in it together! Fortunately, that’s not the radiator industry. Radiators are actually very cheap for what they are.

Do they offer a good choice? You can buy hundreds – if not thousands – of different styles of radiator, and when you buy radiators online, you should at least expect to be able to find some of the fantastic models. If the retailer doesn’t have a wide choice, then you can really be missing out. For instance, you'll be missing out on towel radiators that double as shelves, vertical radiators that double as art installations, and huge cast iron radiators. You might not want to buy such radiators, but having the choice is awesome.
