    ! Individual consciousness is symptom ofpresence of soul

    ! Consciousness means to be aware, thinking,feeling, willing and intentionality.

    ! BG 2.13: Even in the current life, the soul isreincarnating from childhood body to boyhood

    to youth to old age.

    ! BG 2.16: Body is always changing. Soul existspermanently despite changes in body and mind.

    dh$ras tatra na muhyatiAs the embodied soul continuously passes,

    in this body, from boyhood to youth to oldage, the soul similarly passes into another

    body at death. A sober person is notbewildered by such a change.

    For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any

    time. He has not come into being, does not come

    into being, and will not come into being. He isunborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is

    are My eternal, fragmental parts. Due toconditioned life, they are struggling very

    Entity! The living entity is the fragmental part and

    parcel of the Supreme Lord-eternally.

    ! The living entities, not only the human beingsand the cats and dogs, but even the greater

    controllers of the material world, Brahma are allparts and parcels of the Supreme Lord.

    ! Living entity is the resident of Vaikuntha.!Jiva is not God. Being part and parcel of

    Supreme Lord, it possesses qualities of God inminute quantities.

    Entity! Supreme Lord is the source of knowledge

    and happiness as the sun is the source of

    heat and light.

    insecurity and becomes vicious.

    Cause of Suffering for the Soul

    ! Causes:! Iccha: desire to enjoy independent of God! Dvesha: envy towards Supreme Lord

    ! Part must serve the whole! Disconnected leaf can find no

    nourishment.

    ! Living entitys function is to render lovingservice to Supreme Lord.

    Is the jva God, or can it become
