The L Series pumps improve process fluid handling by reducing downtime and energy consumption. Part of Thermo Fisher Scientific Enviroflex L Series pumps provide all the benefits of other peristaltic pumps, with a number of key benefits — slower operating speed for a given flow rate; and rotating rollers for soft hose compression. This provides a longer hose life and reduced power consumption. Ease of use • Hinged front cover eliminates the need to lift equipment to remove the cover • Seamless integration with your process equipment • Self-priming suction lift up to a maximum of 30 feet vertical – allows flexible installation Improved performance and efficiency • Large rotor provides an increased flow per revolution reducing pump speed and prolongs hose life • Roller design requires less power to deliver equivalent flow and pressure as comparable pumps • Constant roller rotation ensures proper hose lubrication and increases hose life Broad performance range • Pump size from 10mm to 150mm • Accurate & controllable flow rate from less than 1 GPM to 665 GPM • Ideal for corrosive environments with pump casing options in 304 and 316 stainless steel (Standard is carbon steel) • Discharge pressure capability to 145 PSIG (10 BAR) Easy to maintain • Hinged front cover provides easy access to pump interior, hose and connectors • Internal hose connector eliminates need to dismantle external piping during hose replacement Applications from Effluent Processing to Lime Slurry Transfer

Benefits of precision ground hose

Minimizes friction between the shoe or roller and the hose, thereby:

• Reducing power consumption• Increasing hose life• Providing accuracy in flow rates

Production process

The hose fabrication process consists of wrapping the hose in a protective cover andthen curing as part of the final bonding process. Upon cooling, the hose is precisionmachine ground. This last step separates our hose from the many others that are available in the market.

If the hose is not precision ground, this can lead to a number of disadvantages:

• Hose exceeds specified dimensions – this could overstress the pump, gearboxand motor bearings.

• Hose is below specified dimensions – the pump could suffer from a damagingbackflow of product, leading to a reduction in flowrate, hose erosion and a reduction in hose life.

Options

Material of choice – EPDM, CSPE, Natural Rubber, Nitrile (food grade and industrial)

Hose sizes – From 10mm bore to 150mm bore typically

• 2 plies of high grade cording for hose sizes up to and including 15mm

• 4 plies of high grade cording for hose sizes from 20mm up to 150mm
