Testimonies from September 2012

Hi there!

Jaime and I have some exciting news!!!! God has

added a new addition to our family. I am now 9 weeks

pregnant and we are both so happy and excited for

this new season of our lives.

We have had a few challenges though. When I went

for my first scan the doctor discovered that there was

a small haematoma next to the uterus. This could

potentially cause a miscarriage, especially in the first few weeks of pregnancy. Thankfully

the haematoma was quite small, but all the same the doctor advised that I take it easy this month and put me on bed rest for 4 weeks.

Consequently I have spent virtually the whole of September at home and have not been

able to participate in my usual ministry activities. At first I was quite worried about having

to spend so much time “doing nothing”, but I have been amazed at how God has given

me the grace to rest (which for me is not normally that easy). It has actually turned out to

be a very special time and I am thankful for having had the extra time to reflect and

pray in this special new season.

God has also been so good in that He has provided people to carry all the ministry

responsibilities that I have not been able to

shoulder this month. He truly is a faithful God.

Yesterday we had our latest scan and praise

God all is well! This Wednesday I will be flying to

Cape Town to spend 3 weeks with my family.

Jaime will be joining me for 2 of those weeks.

For those of you who are in Cape Town, I really

pray that I can get a chance to see you while I

am there.

So much love, Kim

Saints in Cells... God has absolutely blown my mind with His faithfulness this month!!!!

As I mentioned, due to doctor’s orders, I have been unable to go into visit the ladies in

prison. But yet God has provided people to look after these precious women. Although

we do not normally recommend that a person goes in on their own to minister, Pam felt that God laid it on her heart to continue ministering in Fatima even though I wasn’t there.

She has been going in faithfully each week, which means so much to the ladies.

And then, the very week that I was no longer able to go into Santa Monica, Anita Lamont

(the wife of the Pastor of a local English speaking congregation), received permission to

go and minister to the girls there. She has faithfully taken over the leadership of the Bible

Studies at this time. We are also blessed to have

permission for two of the pastors who support us, Dennis

and Angus, to go in and minister to the girls on

consecutive Thursdays. It is so clear to me how much God loves these ladies in prison and makes a way for

them to receive from His Word every time.

Bronwyn is a young Australian lady who attends our Bible

study in Santa Monica each week. Recently an Australian TV channel did a documentary on her story. I

thought I would share it with you as it gives some good

insight into the difficult realities that these girls face each

day. You can find the documentary “Australia’s

Unknown Schapelle” by clicking on the link below… h t t p : / / a u . n e w s . y a h o o . c o m / v i d e o / w a t c h /

Fe en Fe en Accion...

Faith In Action has expanded to the province of Ayacucho!!! The hot-bed of the Shining Path terrorist movement in the 1980’s and 90’s, Ayacucho is a province characterised by

poverty and the pain that often lingers after having suffered much violence. The actual

word “Ayacucho” is a quechua word which means “The place of the dead”.

Yet God is doing something new in Ayacucho. Last month the World Vision team started

the “Fe en Accion” programme with 48 youth from various churches in the city, including

both Catholic and Protestant churches. This is something very new. How awesome it is to

see young people unite around the common cause of seeing God’s Kingdom

transformation come to their communities.

In October, Jaime has been invited to travel to Ayacucho to

teach one of the “Fe en Accion” Sessions. He will be away

from the 5th—9th October. Please pray that God will keep

him safe in his journey and that God will work through him to

inspire, equip and minister to this group of young community

transformers.

Trip to South Africa...

.

One of the things that I am often so aware of, is how difficult it is for me to express my

gratitude to all those who partner with us in the work that God has called us to here in

Peru. On the afternoon of Sunday 7th October, I will be having a special “Thank you Tea”

for all of our ministry partners. If you are in Cape Town, I really pray that you will be able

to make it. It will be a time in which I am able to share in more detail about the work we

are involved in. At the back of this newsletter you will find the invitation with more details.

If you can’t make it to the tea and are in Cape Town, I will be giving a ministry report in

each of the His People Baxter services on Sunday 14th of October. I have also been

asked to preach at the 11am service at the Baxter on that Sunday.

I am so aware that our time in South Africa is short, I really pray that I will be able to see

you and above all honour you for all that you do to make our ministry possible.

Richest blessings, Jaime and Kim

Please pray... Please keep me in prayer as I travel on Wednesday 3rd October. It is a 29 hour trip

and being 10 weeks pregnant, I am praying that God will give me lots of favour and

keep me safe wherever I go.

Please pray for Jaime as he travels to teach in Ayacucho and then leaves for South

Africa on the 12th October.

Please keep the girls in the prisons in your prayers. It is going to be challenging

month, as both Pam and I are going to be away for a while.

Please continue to pray for my mother-in-law. After 6 weeks, she is still in hospital

and they have yet to give her a full diagnosis of what is wrong. Trust with us for

supernatural healing
