• Born under a tree on Easter Monday in 1770 after his mother left the village , chased by the Turks .

• When he was 10 years old his father was killed .

• When he was fifteen he already served two years in the mountains of the Peloponnese against the Turks.

• In 1798 he got his own ship and he beat mercilessly Turkish ships.
