• Theodore was born on October 27, 1858. He was born in New York city. He saved a old black bear from being shot wile on a hunting trip. That’s how he got the nickname Teddy.

• Theodore started having a hard time breathing in 1861 after his 3rd birthday, it was called childhood asthma.

• In 1876 Teddy went to college in Harvard University in Cambridge Massachusetts.

• Teddy’s dad died of cancer after Christmas.

• In 1880 Teddy got engaged with his first wife Alice.

• In 1884 Teddy’s mom died on Valentines day of Typhoid fever a deadly disease when Teddy went west. Also, his wife died after giving birth to a girl also named Alice.

• In1898 Teddy was in a group called the Rough Riders, they fought their biggest battle in Spain in July.

• In 1903 Teddy named the eagle as the first national bird.

• In 1909 Teddy left the White House at the age of 50,the youngest person to leave the White House.

• In 1919 he died at the age of 60 in his house on January 6th.
