WHAT DOES A REGISTERED RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST DO?

• The Radiologic Technologist (RTR) safely uses x-ray equipment to assist the radiologist in examining patients for broken bones, injuries, diseases, or assessing the functional ability of organs. Many of the exams we perform require needle injections/placement of catheters done by the radiologist.

• The RTR may work in hospital or clinic settings.

• The work may also involve assisting other physicians in invasive procedures as well as using mobile x-ray equipment in surgery, patient rooms, and ER.

• A vital member of the patient care team!
