DRIVETRAIN AND SUSPENSION.

Adaptive suspension makes it possible to adjust the damper characteristics to suit the driving situation and optimises ride comfort and driving dynamics. Only available for M Sport models.

The M Sport steering creates a direct and agile steering response and ensures less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. The vehicle can be directed more precisely, offering highly athletic handling characteristics, particularly on winding roads. Part of the M Sport Plus pack.

The M Sport suspension is set 10mm lower and provides a firmer ride.

The seven-speed Sport automatic transmission with dual-clutch technology offers even sportier gear changes. Exclusively available for sDrive20i.

DRIVE PERFORMANCE CONTROL INCLUDING ECO PRO MODE. BRAKE ENERGY REGENERATION. OPTIMUM SHIFT INDICATOR.

AERODYNAMICS. BMW EFFICIENT DYNAMICS. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Targeted aerodynamic changes to the vehicle body, such as air vent control, Air Curtain and Air Blades, improve its air resistance. The airflow-optimised components contribute not only to reduced fuel consumption but also reduce the level of noise in the interior.

Drive Performance Control lets the driver choose between the standard Comfort mode, ECO PRO mode, which is geared towards efficiency, and Sport mode which enables even more dynamic driving. ECO PRO mode adjusts the characteristics of the accelerator, automatic transmission and the heating/air conditioning settings to make the drive as fuel-efficient as possible.

With Brake Energy Regeneration, the alternator generates electricity primarily when you brake or take your foot off the accelerator. Previously unused kinetic energy is thereby transformed into electrical energy and fed into the battery.

The Optimum Shift Indicator shows the most efficient gear for any given driving situation. In all BMW models, the display informs you of the current gear and gives shifting recommendations. This noticeably lowers fuel consumption through perfectly timed gearshifts, particularly in urban environments and over long distances.

Get more out of every litre of fuel with BMW EfficientDynamics: better performance, greater efficiency and a heightened driving pleasure. Technical innovations that lower fuel consumption while simultaneously increasing driving pleasure mean that pure dynamics come standard in every BMW.

The eight-speed Sport automatic transmission offers sporty gear changes and an expert function for race track operation.

DRIVER ASSISTANCE.

Driving Assistant Plus includes Lane Departure Warning, Front collision warning with brake intervention, High-beam Assistant, Speed Limit Info, Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function and Traffic jam Assist. Lane Departure Warning detects lane markings and helps prevent inadvertent departure from the lane by transmitting perceptible vibrations via the steering wheel. Front Collision Warning with brake intervention consists of approach control/person warning with city braking function and enables warning and braking within a certain speed range for vehicles and persons. Also reacts to stationary target objects. High-beam Assistant features automatic switching on and off of the high-beam headlights depending on the traffic situation. If the Speed Limit Info detects a speed restriction, this can only be automatically transferred to the manual speed limiter by pressing the rocker switch on the steering wheel including no-overtaking indicator. Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function maintains the selected speed and distance from the vehicle ahead at speeds between approximately 0-85mph. Traffic jam Assist supports the driver in keeping in the middle of the lane by means of corrective steering interventions. Only available with Automatic transmission.

In xDrive models, the Hill Descent Control equipment supports the driver on steep downhill routes. The system keeps the vehicle’s speed constant without the driver having to brake, so that they can focus their attention entirely on steering.

The Park Assist makes parallel parking easier. The system works by measuring potential spaces while driving past at a low speed. When a suitable space has been found, the Parking assistant takes over the steering, while the driver is responsible for selecting the correct gear, as well as pressing the accelerator and brakes.

The Reversing Assist camera provides assistance for reverse parking and manoeuvring. It shows the area behind the vehicle on the Control Display. The camera is located in the rear tailgate trim above the number plate.



SAFETY.

Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function maintains your pre-selected speed, as well as the distance to the vehicle ahead. The vehicle takes over accelerating and braking and keeps the predetermined distance to the vehicle ahead even in slow-moving traffic and down to a stand-still in traffic jams.

The Adaptive LED headlights feature full LED front lights, BMW Icon design light module, adaptive LED light distribution, striking LED position/daytime driving lights from icons, High-beam Assistant and automatic beam-throw control.

Active Guard is an automatic emergency braking system to help prevent forward collisions at high and low speeds. The Forward collision warning issues an audible and visual warning to the driver.

Intelligent Emergency Call reacts automatically if an acci-dent occurs, quickly getting help for you and your passen-gers.

PREPARATION. BMW Navigation Plus features a 10.25" Touch Display and instrument cluster with 5.7" TFT display. Operation is via the iDrive Controller, direct selection buttons, six or eight programmable favourites buttons, Voice Control or via the Touch function on the Control Display. Only available as part of the Tech Pack II.

In line with the state-of-the-art driver orientation in a BMW, all displays and controls are neatly arranged and within easy reach. They are clearly grouped into the four major categories of driving, comfort, display and operation. This means that new drivers can quickly find their bearings and the amount of time their eyes are diverted from the road is kept to a minimum.

Enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging enables a Bluetooth connectivity and includes a wireless charging dock and additional USB ports. Two mobile telephones and an audio player can be connected simultaneously. Also included is the technical capacity for a wifi hotspot. Part of the Tech Pack I.2

The BMW Connected App provides a seamless connection between your mobile phone and car and acts as your personal mobility assistant. It enables access to your car using your smartphone or smartwatch, can send destinations to the navigation system or receive reminders for meetings to make sure you arrive there on time.

COMFORT AND FUNCTIONALITY.

The electrically-opening tailgate has a button on the driver’s side door panel and one in the tailgate for closing and opening. Closing can also be done via a keyfob.

Comfort Access enables keyless access to the vehicle. Includes a smart opener for contactless opening of the tailgate. Also includes handle-area lighting in the outside door handles (front and rear) and Comfort Go (keyless starting the engine). Available as part of the Comfort Pack II.

The Panoramic glass sunroof has an automatic integral wind deflector, heat-reflecting glass for sun protection and an independently- sliding headlining panel (colour matched to headlining).

Extended storage offers additional storage options in the interior and luggage compartment. It includes a centre armrest containing two cupholders for the rear seats, nets on the front-seat backrests, two USB sockets in the rear centre console together with a 12V socket and storage net in the luggage compartment.

The automatic air conditioning with two-zone control includes temperature controls for the driver and front passenger, Automatic Air Recirculation (AAR) and an active carbon microfilter. Also features temperature and fan controls with Max cool button and windscreen demist.

Extended lighting includes various LED light sources, both interior and exterior, for extra convenience and interior ambience. The colour of lights on certain parts of the interior of the vehicle can be changed. Available as part of the Comfort Pack I for SE and Sport models. Standard for xLine and M Sport models.

The two-part rear lights with LED technology in characteristic L design consist of one lighting segment in the body of the vehicle and one in the tailgate. Thanks to the dynamic brake light function, the drivers of vehicles behind are warned by flashing brake lights should the vehicle brake hard in a hazardous situation.

The Send my routes to car function of BMW Connected allows you to plan your intelligent routes and transmit them to your BMW before getting in yourself. Once you are in the car, and it has established a Bluetooth connection with your smartphone, you can launch route guidance with a single tap.

The exterior mirrors are electrically folding, with the mirror on the driver’s side also featuring an automatic anti-dazzle function. The front passenger’s exterior mirror features an automatic dipping parking function when reverse gear is engaged. Mirror heating, mirror memory. Also available as part of the Comfort Pack I for SE and Sport models. Standard for xLine and M Sport models.

The Rain sensor with automatic headlight activation automatically activates the windscreen wipers and low-beam headlights.

The Panoramic glass sunroof has an automatic integral wind deflector, heat-reflecting glass for sun protection and an independently-sliding headlining panel (colour matched to headlining).

The detachable towbar can also be concealed. It has a 13-pin European-style trailer socket and convertor/adapter to 7-pin. Includes Trailer Stability Control.

The Child seat ISOFIX attachment is for mounting an ISOFIX child seat to the front passenger seat and outer two rear seats. The attachment latch is concealed in the seating frame.

Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) collects current traffic information about motorways, main and country roads as well as the most important urban routes. It relays information about delays and dangers almost instantly. The best alternative routes are suggested accordingly.

This innovative vehicle interior mirror incorporates an adaptive universal remote control for up to three garage doors and property gates.

The universal holder is adjustable in terms of size and it is snapped into position into the basic carrier of the Travel & Comfort System that is available separately. It provides a secure hold for a wide range of Apple and Samsung tablets from 7" to 11" with Travel & Comfort tablet safety case. It can be rotated through 360°, tilted and fixed in the desired position.

The high-quality 20" M light alloy Double-spoke 717 M wheels are designed in matt Jet Black, weight-optimised with flow forming and with M logo. TPMS summer complete wheel set with run-flat tyres, wheel size 8J x 20 with tyre size 225/40 R20 94Y RSC.

This contemporary roof box in Black with titanium silver side trims has a 520-litre capacity and fits all BMW roof rack systems. It can be opened from both sides and features triple central locking on each side which makes it easy to load and provides anti-theft locking. Roof boxes in other sizes are also available. Roof rails required for use.

Anti-slip, water-resistant mat for protecting the luggage compartment from dirt and moisture. In black with stainless steel inlay matching the interior.
