“I was very pleased by the quality of the content, thanks for creating this event”

Rick Rule, CEO, Sprott Global Resource Investments

Dear colleagues,

We’ve arrived! We’ve always held a special place in our hearts for Canada and, as the centre for the mining industry we’ve appropriately decided on Toronto as the home for our first of many Mines and Money Americas events.

The last four years have been difficult for the mining industry, with commodity prices at historic lows. However, we’ve been here before. Do you remember the last mining downturn 2000 to 2003? That was just as bad. Just as the industry recovered then, it will start to recover in 2016 or if not 2017.

If you are serious about the mining industry, this is the time to be seizing opportunities. Mines and Money Americas provides you with the platform to do this.

Through a series of leading keynotes, interactive panels, roundtables and fireside chats with industry leaders you will learn how mining companies can adjust to the current market conditions and the exciting new investment opportunities spanning the Americas.

As an industry leader offering support to deal making and networking, we will also be offering a tailored one to one meeting planner for investors and mining companies. Please enquire upon booking. We would also like to welcome you to join us at the Gala and Awards Dinner to be hosted on September 27th, a real treat for mining and investment enthusiasts!

We look forward to seeing you in Toronto in September.

Kind regards,

Leon Walton Event Director Mines and Money

P.S. Mines and Money Americas also coincides with the relaunch of the Hockey World Cup www.nhl.com. Don’t forget to reserve your accommodation early!

About our after dinner speakerCabral Richards – Sports Personality & Producer

“Cabbie Richards” of Cabbie Presents on TSN’s Sports Centre, is an off-the-wall television host, sports interviewer and hilarious master of ceremonies who has rubbed shoulders with the greats of sports.

Richards is the unorthodox host and producer of Cabbie Presents, a weekly segment on TSN’s highly-rated Sportscentre.

Unlike traditional broadcasters, he trades barbs up with athletes for light-hearted segments.

A self-described performance artist and party crasher, Richards has a fabulous list of people he has interviewed: basketball legends Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, Aaron Rodgers, Will Smith, Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart.

Richards found out they were “regular dudes, man. They have an amazing athletic ability, but if you talk to them like real people, even Michael Jordan and Kobe, they just want to talk about music, movies and girls.”

He interned at The Score Television Network in 1998 while a student in Ryerson University’s Radio and Television Arts program and pitched his own segment in 2001 – Cabbie on the Street.

Richards has also been a correspondent on The Marilyn Denis Show on CTV, finding interesting interviews on entertainment, lifestyle, health and human interest.

A star in his own right in the Twitterverse, Richards has won thousands of followers on his official Twitter page @TheRealCabbie.
