Ideas that make the world go round
Since 1957 we have registered more than 100 patents, and we carry a delivery program of more than 40,000products, which are used wherever electrical energy is used to power, drive, light or control things. Most of thisalso happens out of sight. For example inside the Cheops pyramid in El Gîza. ÖLFLEX® cables are used there tosafeguard smooth operation of the air-conditioning units. We also equipped the K2 base camp at an altitude of5,000 meters. At -46° Celsius, we also clearly demonstrated that our products work even at the lowest of temperatures.
You will discover Lapp in up to 200 m long paper-making machines and in the 178 m high Singapore Flyer, theworld’s most spectacular big wheel. We are also on-board the Transrapid train in Shanghai and in navy sub-marines diving deep below the sea. At the opera house in Beijing we made everyone very happy, and we touredthe world recently with the Rolling Stones. We equipped international airports in London, Sofia and Munich with hundreds of kilometers of lines and we are out there listening inside one of the world’s largest radio telescopes, well beyond the frontiers of our own solar system.
And we play our part in using sun, wind and other green energy sources more efficiently – in the meantime Lappis one of the leading partners to companies in the application fields of photovoltaics, wind power, biomass andfuel-cell technology.

ÖLFLEX® SOLAR SOLUTIONS - THE ONLY CHOICE FOR YOUR INSTALLATION
There are many reasons to use enhanced PV or Solar cable constructions rather than the minimum acceptable standards.
For the most part, PV wiring is exposed wiring when use on roof tops and/or solar farms. PV/Solar cableproducts utilizing an insulation layer and a separate jacket layer provide enhanced mechanical protection. (Improved protection against accidental damage, abrasion resistance, rodents, etc.)
PV wiring terminations are typically performed at the installation site with crimp style PV connectors.Typical minium approved wiring products are not fine stranded, and usually utilize bare copper susceptibleto corrosion/oxidation, resulting in higher resistance crimps.
PV/Solar cable products utilizing tinned coated copper and fine stranding provide enhanced longterm reliability from corrosion/oxidation and improved crimp connections due to the fine stranding. This results in consistent lower resistance connections and enhanced long term efficiency of thesystem.
Other considerations include the long term UV or Sunlight resistance of the wiring/cable. Many local testing standards currently do not provide any specific reference to real life service expectations from a ULor Sunlight exposure aspect. Based on our UV/Sunlight Resistance testing, and our global experiencein this market segment, Lapp products are designed for a sunlight service life expectancy of atleast 25 years.
Is your company socially responsible? If not you can help ensure you meet these requirements through theuse of Lapp ÖLFLEX® Solar Cables. ÖLFLEX® Solar cabling products are halogen-free ensuring a 100%environmentally green and safe solution for the entire life cycle of the installation, including decommissioning.

TECHNICAL DATA:
ÖLFLEX® TRAY II is an industrial grade tray cable with superior oil performance forlong cable life. It has been improved to meet UL Oil Res. I & II and have better coldtemperature flexibility, meeting UL -25ºC cold impact. It has a pressure extrudedjacket and fine copper stranding for excellent flexibility making it much easier topull through tray. With UL TC-ER approval, no conduit is needed so you can reducematerial costs along with saving on labor.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS:Industrial plant expansions, automotive plants, cold temperature processes, traywiring, anywhere that VNTC® cables are used
APPLICATION ADVANTAGE:• Oil resistant pressure extruded PVC jacket for
improved flexibility• Easier to pull than standard tray cables minimizing labor costs
• UL TC-ER approval to reduce material costs. No conduit is needed.
• Black numbered conductors for easy identification
• UV resistant and direct burial• Improved cold temperature flexibility and abrasion resistance
ÖLFLEX® TRAY II CY Construction:Finely stranded bare copper conductors; specially blended PVC/nylon insulation; 100% shielding with foil tape and tinned copperbraid (70% coverage); specially formulated oil resistant black PVC jacket
