“HOPE IS THE ANCHOR” Hebrews 6:17-19

From the Principal’s Pen…

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good-

bye….using these famous words from our beautifully

performed ILS musical for my last message as Interim

Principal. It has been a blessing to me to be able to be

in this position again. I may have said this in another

message and I will say it again. I fell in love with

school and Miss Koss my First Grade Teacher and

knew that I would be a teacher. God has truly blessed

me by helping me through thirty-five years of a profes-

sion I love. After retirement I found myself back at ILS

where I started and once again I’m planning to leave.

This year was different than the first time

around. Every school year is different and that is part

of the excitement of being in the educational field. In

education some things are constant such as the subject

matter, but the way you present and teach the material

must change or it would be a boring occupation. Of

course, the students change and that is the most excit-

ing part. We have amazing students with many talents.

The most beautiful thing about being here with

our teachers and students is the love of our Lord and

Savior that shines through these hallways every single

day. To see this and hear this is a wonderful blessing

to me and I will hold these memories in my heart.

Thank you, Claudia Bishop
