Dates to Remember Term 4 2020

11th December - Narrogin Senior High School Orientation Day

15th December - Presentation Night

14th December - School Reports home to parents 17th December - Students Last Day School

High School Orientation Ten of our Year 6 students are at Narrogin Senior High School today for a Transition Day! We wish them all the best as they have their first experience of life as a high school student! School Concert and Graduation A reminder we will be holding our Annual Concert and Graduation here at school on the Quadrangle. We will be starting at 6.30pm and hoping for cool and fine weather as it will be outdoors. Please bring along your own chair, the more comfy the better! We will have a few chairs available for visitors. We are still operating under Phase 4 COVID Safe requirements that include good physical, health and hygiene practices. Hand Sanitiser will be available when entering the school and we remind adults to maintain social distancing of 1.5m between people who are not from the same household. The Health and hygiene requirements also state that presenters of awards can not shake hands with award winners. Our hope is to have an end of year concert and graduation as close to normal as possible, so we thank you for your understanding and cooperation around these requirements. RRISE Colour Run Since Semester Two, students have earnt 4509 RRISE tickets. We are hoping to break 5000 by the end of term! To celebrate this awesome achievement, we will be holding a RRISE colour run on Thursday 17th of December for students who have maintained their good standing. Students are encouraged to wear white t-shirt that can get very dirty! They will also need to bring a towel, a bag for wet clothes, and a change of clothes for afterwards. A pair of sunglasses or googles can also be an excellent idea as things can get a little messy.

Year 6 Reflections 2020

Good Memories from Williams Primary School Having a lot of in and out people was very hard because there was always new people

that meant meeting people I didn’t know. Friends leaving then having to make new friends but the hard part was moving to Williams. I was terrified having to leave all my

friends but I think it was worth it because I got to meet new people, people from funny to silly.

When I first walked into the class I had to learn words I didn ’t even know but I got there slowly. After that I got used to it because I ’m the only Asian in Williams Primary

School scary having people look at me but I liked getting attention. Looking back in Year 5 I was really dumb but getting to see me now is amazing because I would ’ve

never imagine who I would be today and in the future. The amazing part of my mem-ories was the amazing teacher Miss Strickland she was the best teacher I’ve ever had.

She’s always funny but also knew how to be serious and I really like how she makes everybody laugh and she works in the ambulance that means when I hurt myself she

can help. Going swimming in year 6 I’m laughing at this memory since I missed swimming

lessons so much swimming slipped out of my mind so then there came a final time when I finally went swimming but who could ’ve guessed I was drowning I was trying to hang on to the nearest person which was who could ’ve guessed it was Sienna but the bad thing was she was also drowning with me so there and then I say never go swim-

ming with me. I’d like to thank Bella, Rowie, Amelia, Maya, Lucas, Jet, Emily and of course the best of all Sienna. I want to thank them for Welcoming me to Williams and the teacher’s for teaching me what I needed to know and what I know now. Now my favourite part of everything in year 6 is camp let me tell you camp was a mess having

bruises and sores but not as bad as Rowie’s. Getting there was fun but leaving was really hard because everyone wanted to stay longer and longer I mean by 2 months longer I wanted that so bad but I knew it was never going to happen because I don’t think our parents would go another day with-out us. My favourite part of camp was mountain biking because I got to do cool tricks I’m sad it was time to go but the goodbyes were even worse I ’m happy I went to camp

because it was THE BEST.I don’t want to leave and I really want to stop growing be-cause one day I’m going to look back and I’m going to think to myself who was I then

and I’m going to be really sad because the only wish I want is to never grow I ’ve made so much memories here and I’m sad to go make sure you know that everybody ’s

family so treat people like you would treat your family.

Manna

Memories of primary school My journey started in kindy where people came and left. Kindy was my favourite year

by far, but Charlie Fowler left. We also made a mother ’s day CD. Let’s skip Pre-Primary and go to Year 1. Mrs Grace broke some of her ribs chasing a girl. Jet tricked the swim instructors into thinking his bright green crocs were water proof shoes then

they fell off in the water. Year Three was our last year with Mrs Earnshaw. Year Three all of us got split up in to

two different classes half of us had Miss Strickland and half with Mrs Cowcher. Year 4 soon came and we went to the Fremantle prison and Cicerello ’s we also had

three teachers - Mrs Major, Mrs Grace and Mr Hamilton not much happened that year so let’s move on to year 5. Year 5 was good half with Mrs Duff and Mrs Orchard and the other half with Mrs Major. Mrs Major’s class went to the Perth zoo and had our

leadership speeches. I think we all remember 2020 we went to camp, and a Harry Potter day. That about all

I can remember in my reflection. Lucas

Year 6 Reflections 2020

My years of Williams Primary School

My time at Williams Primary School has been great and there are 4 weeks to go to high

school. But lets talk about my funny memory. In kindy we read green eggs and ham and ate

green eggs and ham, but in Year 3 we got split into 2 different classes.

MJ

My time at Williams Primary School When I started school at Williams the school was great. The teachers were ever so friendly and I loved the school so much. At the start of the year we split the year 5s into two, 8 year 5s went to Mrs Duff’s class and the rest went to Mrs Major’s class. The other teachers were Mrs Cowcher, Mrs Ford, Miss Grace, Mr Hamilton, Mrs Stewart and Miss Orchard. During the year I went to interschool and I got runner up out of all of the other year fives. At the end of the year we got to do presentation night and our theme was music through the eighties and we did Thriller by Michael Jackson. We had Manna come during the year and Tyra go to another school. In year six term 1 we got to go to GRIP and we got to meet lots of people there and we had to get up really early to get there. In week 6 we went to camp and there was lots of excite-ment and got to do lots of activity there. On the first day of camp we went sand dunning and did a Toyota jump and Mrs Major rolling down the hill which was very funny to watch, on Tuesday we got to go mountain biking, Wednesday we got to go to the big brook dam, on Friday we went home. For two weeks we had to do home schooling which was very annoying but for one week we had to stay at Grandmas place because we had the pest man come which was good be-cause we got to go to the lake and have our photo taken of where we like to play and read.

Reflections of Williams Primary School My time at Williams Primary School was a big journey as we had people come and go. The memories that we all shared were funny, crazy and incredibly stupidly funny! I remember in Pre–Primary when Maya had made her most stupid face after we ate GREEN EGGS AND HAM. Year 1 we had a brand new teacher her name was Miss Grace. She was very nice be-cause she gave us JELLY BEANS. Year 2 we were all split up some were with 1s and 2s the others were with 2s and 3s it wasn’t fair some of us were in a big class. Year 3 we were split again and I was with 2s and 3s we did a play called Annie, it was awesome fun. Year 4 was crazy as we had 3 teachers in 1 year we started off with Miss Grace who broke a rib, sprained her ankle. Then we had Mr Hamilton who retired, then we had Mrs Major we had her for the rest of the year. Year 5 we had Miss Orchard and Mrs Duff we read the 1000 year old boy. Year 6 is where we come to a stop as we move on from primary school to high school, I will never forget funny memories of Williams Primary. Amelia

Year 6 Reflections 2020

MEMORIES OF PRIMARY SCHOOL My journey at Williams has been amazing and it’s very sad that my time at Williams Primary School has come to an end. Everything that has happened over the past 8 years is all com-ing back to me. In Kindy we dressed up as princesses, played with playdoh and made a mother’s day video. Pre-Primary was when we made a cook book and ate the food and in term 4 we were allowed to go out and play in the area instead being trapped in a fence. In year 1 Miss Grace broke a rib tripping over near the garden beds. Year 2 I went to my first interschool carnival and never missed an interschool since then. In year 3 we were a split class just like the year before we had Sienna join our class and had Robbie and Piper leave. In year 4 we had three different teachers Miss Grace was the teacher we had for the start of the year she took us to the Ship Wreck Museum, Cicerello’s for lunch and went to the Fremantle Prison the 2nd term we had Mr Hamilton and he showed us Henry the potato video and for the rest of the year we had Mrs Major. Year 5 I had Mrs Major again and near the end of the year we went to the Perth Zoo. Year 6 has been the best year so far even with the pandemic. We went to camp recently and had lots of fun it was crazy. All my mem-ories of primary school will be with me forever and I will never forget them. The most mem-orable times of my life has happened in primary school.

Rowie

Memories of Williams Primary School I haven’t been at Williams for too long but when I came in year 3 I met some of my best friends we had Miss Cowcher and Miss Earnshaw. Year 4 was better than year 3 we had three teachers Mr H, Miss Grace and Mrs Major that’s when we listened to and learnt the song henry the potato man times tables witch I still use in year six to do my 7 timetables we also went to Fremantle prison. In year 5 at swimming lessons Manna didn’t know how to swim properly and of course I was swimming next to her while she was half drowning and so she grabbed on to me happi-ly then I started drowning until we got to the lane rope. Year six is my favourite year. we had Miss Strickland we had a big pandemic of covid for the first 2 terms where we missed out on some things but term three we were back term 4 was the best with sports carnivals and interschool but the best part was camp we could hear people snoring from other dorms. One of the funniest thing was Mrs Major rolling down the sand June and Miss Strickled with the camera. Now we have 3 weeks left and a presen-tation night and we graduate primary school. I had lots of fun at Williams Primary but I can’t wait to go to high school.

Sienna

Memories of Williams Primary School When I was in kindy a lot of people came and left us. My favourite part of kindy was when we did our mother day video. All of us were so cute but when we watch the video everyone got really embarrassed. The funniest part of it was when Sophie said her mum and her put sprinkles on the cupcakes and when Bella said that her and the brothers put play doh in their ears. Pre-primary was the best. I remember when we all ate green eggs and ham. Eve-ryone thought they were disgusting they weren’t that bad I though. In Pre-Primary we went on the first excursion , we went to the zoo and got a greened screened photo with a tiger in front of the whole class. Emily and Max got married. Skip year one and two nothing hap-pened in those years. Year four we had Miss Grace and she took the year four class to the Fremantle Prison and eat at Cicerello’s and got to pat a gummy shark. On the way home Mr Kirk bought us ice cream. Then Miss Grace retired and we had mix of teachers. Mr Hamilton taught us a song about a potato singing the 7 timed tables. In year five we had Miss Major. Half of us were with the year sixes and the other half with year fours. Year six we had Miss Strickland and this was a great year. we had done a lot and I can tell that I had learnt a lot.

Year 6 Reflections 2020

Green Eggs and Ham in Pre-Primary This is what I remember. We were reading Dr Seuss books and we did an activity for each of the books. The activity we did for the book Green Eggs and Ham was making it. We made it out of eggs, ham and green food dye. We ate it on toast. The teachers made the green eggs and ham and everyone liked it except for me. We ate it outside on the grass and I remem-ber thinking at least we aren’t doing work. After that we wrote about why we did or didn’t like it.

Maddie

It is very hard to sum up my time at Williams

best years of my life! and the awesome kindy that we started from.

Newspaper fashion is so in right now,

Pulling tape out of hair could be quite fun, If your name is Tom you’d better run! Fundraisers and discos I had a good time, I’m gonna say this ‘cause I can’t find a rhyme. In preprimary we ate our green eggs and ham, After we read a book about Sam. In year I lost my very first first tooth,

scandals

In year 4 we had many different teachers,

In year 5 we were split again, Then we got Manna- lots to gain. In year 6 there was a global pandemic!

Maya

Memories of primary school Let’s go back down memory lane. When I first started primary school I met new people and they became friends. I also start-ed kindy with my lifelong friends. Pre-Primary Pre-primary was an amazing and sad year. Friends left and new people came. During the year we read Green Eggs and Ham then we made green eggs and ham. A train! A train! A train! A train! Could you, would you, on a train? Not on a train! Not in a tree! Not in a car! Sam! Let me be! Sam! if you will let me be! I will try them you will see! Say! I like green eggs and ham! I do! I like them, Sam-I-am! and I would eat then in a boat and I would eat then with a goat… Year 1 was a funny year. Jet fisher told the swimming teacher that his bright green crocs where water proof. Our class room teacher Ms Grace had a fall she cracked a rib. Year 2 was an exciting year. Some of us went to our first interschool carnival. We had a split class. Sienna edge came to our school. Year 3 was a strange year. Piper Gillett and Robbie Forman left. Split into 2 classes. Year 4 was an amazing year we went to Cicerello’s for lunch the ship wreck museum and Fremantle prison. Year 5 was an exciting year. We went to the zoo for an excursion we split classes again I was in a 4/5 class and a 5/6 class. Year 6 was a confusing year. We were in and out of quarantine for many weeks it was hard missing out of many things that we were hoping for but corona virus came.

Year 6 Reflections 2020

Reflections My time at Williams Primary School was full of memories. When I was in Year 2 with Miss Grace I broke my arm at school. In Kindy we made these DVD’s about how we love our mum’s, it was so funny and cute to watch again. When we were in pre-primary we sang footy on the TV for Father’s day. Year 4 was a year with lots of teachers. First we had Miss Grace than we had Mr Hamilton for two terms then it was Mrs Major. This year was my first year going to Interschool. In Year 5 most of us were in Mrs Duff’s class. I was in Mrs Majors class with some other year 5’s. In year 5 we went to the Perth Zoo for the day. Had an awesome time at Williams Primary School.

MY WILLIAMS PRIMARY SCHOOL MEMORIES

My time at Williams has been “AMAZING” and I will always remember the fun, silly and stupid times I had with my friends. I remember when my mum and grandma would bring

in baby ducks and chicks and sometimes grandma would bring in joeys.

It was an awesome experience going into the big area for the first time, it was like we had the world to our self. We would explore the whole area like a team of explores. We had new teachers and new friends. We all grew and got smarter through the years, but no matter how smart we get we still dislike math.

Sophie
