The WFMC family is so glad you’ve joined us for worship! Here are some details that you may find helpful. THE COMMUNICATION CARD is key to allowing us to welcome you fully. Please fill it out and, after worship, drop it by the Welcome Center where you’ll find lots of information and a nice gift for every first-time visitor. THE WORSHIP GUIDE in this folder will lead you through our service. We try to use elements, liturgy, and sacraments from a variety of Christian traditions to help lead people of all ages, stages, and tastes into the presence of God. Worship is participatory, so please join in prayer, word, giving, and song. NURSERY for children up to 2 years is available for the entire morning in the Pre-school Complex, Building B. CHILDRENS WORSHIP JR. (CWJR, age 2 and 3) is available all year for the entire morning worship service in the Pre-school Complex, Building B. SUMMER CHILDRENS WORSHIP (CW) for children age 4 through grade 1 meets in Room A104 downstairs. After the Children’s Time, children return to their families, then leave the Sanctuary during the doxology where they will be escorted by CW Staff. Following 8:30 worship, parents of children ages 4 through Kindergarten must pick up their children from Room A104. Children in grade 1 will be taken to their Sunday School classroom. Following 10:50 worship, parents must pick up their children from Room A104. HEARING ASSISTANCE DEVICES are available in the foyer. WHEELCHAIR SEATING is readily available in the center aisle or an usher will be glad to remove a sanctuary chair for your convenience. HOME MISSION FOCUS: Pray for Natalie’s Sisters ministry, that the women they minister to will make healthy relationships and come to know the love of Jesus YOUTH MINISTRY FOCUS: Party in the Park is this Wednesday night at Centen- nial Park from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Join us for an evening of pizza and games. We'll join the Wilmore United Methodist youth group for this fun night. Please bring a dessert or a finger-tip side to go with pizza (fruit, raw veggies, chips, etc). Drop off and pick up will be at Centennial Park. Rain plan: Building C SUMMER CHILDRENS WORSHIP for children age 4 through grade one meets in Room A104 downstairs. Children are dismissed after the offering. Please note—there will not be Children’s Worship next week, August 18. Regular Children’s Worship, age 4—grade three, will resume August 25. VBS 2020 — NEXT SUMMER WE "TRAVEL" TO THE TROPICS FOR VBS. If you see great sales on beach umbrellas, tiki torches, pool noodles, beach blankets, etc., help us stock up! If you don't have a place to store what you find, let Cheryl Schell know and we will help you out. OUR ANNUAL CHURCH PRAYER WALK will be held on Wednesday, August 21, at 7:00 p.m. Come and pray for God’s blessings on all phases of our church life. We start out in B201 and go out in groups throughout the facility to pray or you may stay in your seat and pray. MEMBERSHIP CLASS: Mark your calendar for the next Membership Class, a Saturday seminar September 7, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, in room A200. If interested, write “Membership” on your Communication Card. The class gives a comprehensive introduction to our church, denomination, and beliefs. Come and investigate - no commitment is required to simply take the class. (The next membership class is a 3-Sunday session scheduled for November 10, 17, 24.) you may find helpful.

CHILDREN’S TIME Pastor Dwight CHILDREN’S WORSHIP JR. (CWJR) for children ages 2 and 3, is available in the Building B Preschool Wing for the entire worship service time.

GOD’S TITHES AND OUR OFFERINGS Exercising faith means that we take a leap of trust, doing what God asks, even when we don’t know for sure how it will turn out. If we refuse to do that with temporal things, like our finances, then we probably won’t be willing to do that with the eternal things of life…and death. Faith is not abstract. God gives us a hundred opportunities a day to practice faith. One is our approach to giving.
