Remembrance Sunday
A very warm welcome to YOU!
Whether it’s your first time here, you’re relatively new or you’ve been
coming here for years, our prayer is that we will all meet with God
through our worship today.
All of the words you will need for the 9.30am service can be found on the card
booklets located in the shelf on the back of the chair in front of you. The words for the
songs will appear on the screens at the front of the church.
Collect for this Sunday:
God, our refuge and strength, bring near the day when wars shall cease and
poverty and pain shall end, that earth may know the peace of heaven
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Christmas Fair Saturday 1st December 12.30 pm and 4.00 pm.
Volunteers - Are you able to help on the day? If you can help please inform Lisa Webster
or Chris Nutting.
Donations - Saleable quality items only please. Boxes are available in the parish room at the rear of church. The fair team will advise any specific requirements for stalls but items needed include toys, games, books, bric-a-brac, toiletries, jewellery, stationery, sweets
and cakes

Invitations - Invitation Sunday will be next Sunday 18th November between 11.30am and 1.00pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to collectively invite our closest neighbours to the fair. Appropriate fancy dress is optional but encouraged! If you are able to help we
will meet afterwards at the church to share food together - bring your own picnic.
If you have time to deliver flyers to other roads, please sign out as many bundles as you can manage from the table in the entrance foyer. If you would like someone to deliver with,
ask Lisa (07929 037765) to add you to the WhatsApp group or sign up on the board.
CHURCH KEYS
We are undertaking an audit of
our church keys. If YOU have
keys to anything that locks at church
(doors, cupboards, devices etc.) please
notify Janet Hill as soon as possible giving
details. If you do not need to use your
church keys regularly please return them
to Janet. Thanks for your co-operation.
Confirmation Service 2019
Have you been confirmed? Confirmation is a special service in which a person publicly confirms the promises that were made on their behalf at their baptism.
Bishop Jonathan will be hosting a confirmation service here at the Good Shepherd on Sunday 17th February 2019 during the 9.30am service. If you are interested in being
confirmed, then please speak to Kevin.

Squirrels Community Scrap Scheme Saturday opening times for
2018/2019 are now advertised on the main foyer noticeboard. Squirrels collect surplus materials from factories, offices, shops and private homes. They sort and
display them at The Old Allotment Hut, Boscombe Road, Worcester Park. You can select
from a vast range of donated clean waste materials to meet art, craft, recreational,
educational, therapeutic or fundraising activities.
